The small cottage was absolutely delightful - it was very cozy and homey, and had the essentials in the kitchenette for a quick coffee and tea before we headed back out. Check in and out was very easy, and the location was a perfect starting point for our road trip through the south of England. Dog-friendly, with a small part of the garden, clean - can highly recommend.

Great location and the staff were really nice. We had the family room with sea view (for my husband and I) and the room was spacious and had a lovely window seat to watch the sea. We will deffo come back. It was nice to have a poached haddock option for breakfast too.

Used to go right through Deal from Whitsable to Walmer and back again. Didn't realize how much there is to do. Best day out was the 2 mile walk along the sea front from Deal castle to Walmer castle where you can see Wellingtons boots and the room he died in.

This is a traditional English hotel that completely met my expectations. They provided a room and food for a special reception that I hosted, and that went very well. The staff were super.

I was visiting a friend at Temple Ewell and it is an ideal location being just a 10 minute drive. Obviously it is also 10 minutes from Dover....and from the Tesco Superstore, which is a turning off the Whitfield Roundabout

I recommend pub/bar called The Smugglers in the village st Margaret's at Cliffe. Also, St Margaret's beach, road to the beach is very narrow and steep but manageable to pass the car driving from opposite direction. Is good to have coins to pay for car park as apps may not work or be very slow because of poor internet. Facilities like toilets, cafe and restaurant are on the beach so very convenient. Car park is not so big so can be very packed especially during weekend or Bank holidays. If you like a little bit of walk you can park your car there and walk to the lighthouse. We parked near very cool cafe called Pines Garden ( car park is limited ) and walk to the Lighthouse (not suitable when mobility issues). Worth to check website of National Trust The white Cliffs of Dover to check information if you have limited mobility. I recommend Dover Castle (parking free for visitors, a lot of spaces), good to bring picnic with you as a lot of seats but if you prefer eat at castle's cafe is also good choice as prices are reasonable. We ordered tickets online, less hustle.

Rather tired and in need of refurbishment.

Rather tired and in need of refurbishment. But clean and comfortable, wth everything you need for a self-catering stay. Lovely, quiet location. As a private hire we had to pay for temporary passes in order to use the swiming pool and bar/cafe areas.

St Margaret's is a fantastic location.

St Margaret's is a fantastic location. It's perfect for exploring the region from Deal to Dover, all in easy cycling distance, or via the coastal path walk. South Foreland Lighthouse has great views and is nice for afternoon tea. Dover Castle is easily a two day visit. Castle one day, WW2 tunnels a second. Walmer Castle is a nice day exploring the gardens. Great Places to eat: The Coastguard, St Margaret's Bay. The Court Yard, Sondes Road, Deal. Both have great food, and very friendly, helpful staff. Zetland Arms in Kingsdown is VERY busy, good place for a drink but food service is slow and the dining area is noisy.
