Everything about The Kings Arms was fabulous. Our greeting upon checkin was great. Entering our room on the top floor was stunning. We were advised that a steep set of stairs would be required to get to our room but that did not deter us. Our room was simply splendid. We ate dinner here and their traditional Sunday roast was like eating at Grandmas. Mouth watering roast and Yorkshire pudding will definitely satisfy your palate. The town is like a Dickens Village - you’ll feel like you’re back in the 1700’s walking around taking in the historic buildings and shops. Breakfast was again fabulous with a traditional English style menu. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Number Four at Stow! As international visitors coming to the Cotswolds for the first time, we truly felt at home thanks to the incredible staff. Everyone was so warm, kind, and genuinely caring—it felt like the old good days when people were simply nice and sincere. The service was exceptional, and the team went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The location is perfect, and the overall experience was unforgettable. Thank you for making our trip so special—we’ll definitely return!

We loved everything about our stay at the Sheep-on-Sheep Street Hotel. The room was cozy and comfortable for three of us and at a great location. Even better in-person than on-line. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the restaurant- although must say they get pretty booked up during the holidays. It is a very lively and busy place. Recommend making dinner reservations ahead of time. The receptionist Amy was warm and welcoming and helpful all the way through -- with the many requests we had. From emailing us promptly and resolving an issue when we first made the reservation to a request we had after we left -- with an item that was left behind. Amy went over and beyond and was fabulous. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Stow is a great place to base when on a road trip around the Cotswolds. The town itself isn't big but has really nice shops, restaurants and a big Tesco's. There's a petrol station close by and a free car park. We found it easy to get around from here.

I love that Stow is just in the middle of 2 larger towns, so it remains fairly quiet and delightfully quaint with small shops and foot traffic. I appreciate the bus service on the 801 loop. Because Stow is so small, you can pop on every hour and arrive at another (larger with more shopping and eating) town within 15 minutes. We enjoyed quiet tea, loads of shopping, tasty coffee, good cocktails in the garden (Stow Hotel) and fish and chips at the pub (Queens Head). The top-off was definitely the sticky toffee pudding at the Stag.

A pleasant village with some good pub/ restaurants - particularly The Lodge Hotel and The Queens Head. Some interesting shops with a Tesco supermarket. Only takes a couple of hours to look around. Excellent place to stay if you want to explore the Cotswold as most places of interest a only a short(ish) drive away.

Plenty of dining places within an easy drive. Would recommend No.11 open topped hop on and off bus that took you to local beauty spots. A very easy way to see places without the hassle of driving and parking.

Stow on the Wold is ideally located if one intends to explore Cotswold in 3/4 days. Most of the scenic villages like Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Broadway and Slaughters are close by. The village has beautiful buildings and a very positive environment for the tourists to feel happy. It is not very crowded.

It is just like every other market town, There is a car park in the center of town that destroys the charm. The church tower was beautiful. I would recommend Burton on Water for having the most charm and shops and restaurants or Moreton on Marsh as a transportation center that has charm

The hotel is very central and there is parking for guests. The helpful and welcoming staff. They did their utmost to help us. My husband has mobility issues and when we booked I asked if it would be possible to have a room on a lower level and we were offered a 1 bedroomed cottage, it was excellent. The room was clean and cosy with an upstairs lounge to sit if we wished. The food is plentiful and very good. We both had a better night sleep than when we've stayed at a Travelodge.

We stayed for four nights and had a great time. The hotel atmosphere was so relaxing, the room in the Coach House spacious and comfortable, food top quality and beautifully presented; but above all, the warm welcome and friendly service from the lovely staff made us feel so at home. We'll be back!
