United KingdomAbsolutely loved our stay here. They are very pet friendly (but also have areas where pets cannot go, which is very fair). I cannot recommend the old court enough, the views around are so lovely and picturesque, the breakfast was delicious. We went back for lunch and they were pretty busy but made an effort to sit our group of 6 which was very much appreciated. Sunday roast was delicious, a few people ordered lasagna and which they said was delicious. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, thank you!

United StatesThe Speech House was everything an old English Inn should be. The food is outstanding, and the staff are so accommodating. It may only be rated as a 3 star hotel, but my stay there really felt like a luxury stay. The location is right in the heart of the Forest with several walks available directly from the hotel. The famous Puzzlewood is just a short 10 minute drive.

If you love hiking or canoeing, or just sitting by the river...
If you love hiking or canoeing, or just sitting by the river with a drink, this place is perfect for you. The food in the Saracens Head Inn is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Access is a little challenging, down a single lane road, but shouldn't put you off. There are daily boat trips on the river and an old chain hand ferry to Symonds Yat West. The hidden charm of this unique setting is hard to beat

Good facilities, we had good weather on our stay, the hotel had everything if we didn't want to go out.
The walk to The Yat Rock is a must if you manage it, tough in places but rewarding when you get there.

The location of this stay was excellent with many scenic walks readily available. We were given a large room that had a great view overlooking the river. The staff were super friendly, getting to know us and recognising us by the end of our stay. The food was lovely- well priced for the quality and quantity recieved!

Location of hotel meant easy access to beauty spots in the Forest of Dean. Very pleasant walk along river bank immediately outside hotel. Plenty of seating in front of Saracens Head & interesting canoe slalom course less than 5minutes walk. River cruise available from in front of hotel.
Turning in & out of road to Symonds Yat East needs great care, sharp turn.
Would definitely stay again hopefully booking river view room.

Very pretty location on the river Wye. Lots to see and do.
Very pretty location on the river Wye. Lots to see and do. The viewpoint at Symonds Yat rock is brilliant and the cafe at the top does lovely ice cream. Enjoyed watersports with YOFI Paddlesports and would highly recommend them, we felt very safe and had great tutorial before setting out - went on a half day canoe trip with the family and also hired some paddleboards. Ye Olde Ferrie Inn was great for food and dog friendly. Would definitely be back to the area.

Lovely picturesque location with good walks and a pleasure boat with trips along the river.
Local pub and hotel but the tea shop is no longer there.

Entering the house on a hot day was so refreshing. It was cool, bright and very clean.
Good shower, quite big double bed, a nice big couch and an extra fold out bed if needed.
We loved the location although I would recommend following the coordinates to get there and not the address. This takes you to the holiday park on Symonds Yat East, but you need to go West. Also good parking space in front of the house. We had a short but lovely stay, thanks!

Beautiful scenic location. Very quiet. Saw fallow deer near property. Two excellent pubs with great food nearby. Lovely views of River and Symonds Yat from property. Good cooking facilities.

The location is excellent, the views outstanding. Symonds Yat Rock is 500m above the hotel which is a moderately steep half hour walk to the top and very worthwhile.
