Wonderful 2 night Stay. Beautifully decorated in keeping with Georgian period. Spotlessly clean. Ideal location just few minutes stroll to high street and short walk to river Wye. Exceptional value. The whole experience was excellent. Greeted cheerfully and as our room was ready we were able to access the room early. The room was very clean and pleasant. The facilities were spot on. Excellent range of independent shops, bars and restaurants in a beautiful river location. Our favourite restaurants were The Riverside Inn, Plates and Shakers and Tweets. The Royal Hotel has a stunning view from it's balcony and serves a great Pimms.

Ross sits astride the River Wye in close proximity to the Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat with its sweeping views along the the Wye Valley towards Wales and Monmouth and back towards Gloucester. The centre of Ross is perched above the Wye with a steep High Street full of bustling independent shops, no graffiti on steel shutters, just a vibrant town just as England used to be. Its within easy reach of Monmouth and Hereford and for the more adventurous the Brecon Beacons. An easy base for touring Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire west of the Severn

Lovely quaint picturesque riverside town, walkable with plenty of boutique shops and places to eat and drink. We took the Wye riverside walk which was very relaxing. We did not eat in town, but there's two supermarkets (Aldi and Morrisons) for buying any groceries/provisions if staying in self catered accommodation locally, which we did.

Nice little town, that comes to life on a warm evening. Plenty of eateries and bars. If you fancy an Indian meal try The Mint House. All the usual dishes but some lovely speciality dishes created by their chefs!!

Ross on Wye is a beautiful city/town (?) Views are sensational and the town has many very attractive buildings and of course the river Wye. Picture below is part of our group enjoying the terrace of the nearby Royal Hotel and watching the sunset! Satisfactory dinner there!!

The two pub/restaurants on the river were lovely. The town had a lovely friendly feel. The river walk was very nice. The Royal Hotel where we stayed had great views from our room and the main balcony

We stayed in room three on the first floor at the front of this lovely old Georgian house hotel. Our room provided everything we needed for a good night's stay: comfortable beds, tea & coffee, fridge, fan, TV, WiFi, an excellent walk-in shower and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. It was a pleasant 15-20 minute stroll into town, much of it alongside the river. We felt the hotel offered excellent value for money and we would definitely stay again if we visit Ross-on-Wye.
