Tebay services is well known and I wanted to visit .

Tebay services is well known and I wanted to visit . I was on my way to scotland so broke my joirney at westmoreland hotel. I had an evening mesl at the hotel. It was excellent and about the price I was expected for the hotel. Really comfortable beds if a little hot with the massive duvet covers. Very pleasant stay

A perfect spot to enjoy the Lakes whilst only minutes from...

A perfect spot to enjoy the Lakes whilst only minutes from the M6. Quiet location and I had views into the countryside. Lovely fresh breakfast and perfect leaf tea. The hosts couldn’t have been better and went out of their way to help me.

I travel up and down the M6 to/from Hereford to Oban fairly...

I travel up and down the M6 to/from Hereford to Oban fairly regularly. It’s a long an arduous journey particularly in the winter. Westmorland is a godsend of a hotel almost exactly half way and is an oasis of comfort and warmth literally at the side of the motorway. I love the convenience, the comfort, the friendliness and the fact you feel you are on the moors and a million miles from a motorway. You could not wish for a better night stop to recharge your batteries. Be sure to ask about the secret road between north and south services especially for hotel customers- so you can easily access the hotel when travelling south (because hotel is on M6 North)

Tebay services…. what a fabulous cocooning experience! I came off the M6 on a wild wet dark evening and stepped into simple luxury and contemporary cosiness - I left the next morning early, completely restored. I was journeying from the borders of scotland to the south coast and realised I’d run out of energy for the drive- an unplanned stop- but having experienced sitting by the open fire with my book after a delicious simple supper, slept in a divine comfortable bed, a nice hot bath -a delicious breakfast - i’ll make the time to stop here EVERY time i pass from now - special thanks for the gluten free and vegan options tebay!

There was a well stocked farm shop within walking distance, a great pub which was reasonably priced with a good menu. The food was delicious, it had an outdoor beer garden and lit up seating area, a play park for the kids, it played great music and had a good atmosphere, everyone was so friendly. Tebay has many local walks, it is in the perfect location, in between the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales.

We were just breaking our journey. Hotel perfect as always. The farm food shop has wonderful pies and cheese with a discount for hotel gi=uests and a discount voucher for fuel. We didn't go into the village - just enjoyed the comfort, rest and good food

The hotel is located in a quiet area behind the main services, we could not hear any road noise. The reception and lounge area is welcoming and comfortable. Bedroom overlooked moorland with a stunning view. The room was exceptionally quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The dining room overlooked the garden, and food choices and quality were very good. Staff were welcomjng and service was excellent.

They absolutely bent over backwards to help with everything- for our dog as well! While some places say they’re pet friendly, the Tebay really went the extra mile to make us and our dog happy and comfortable. It was clean and tidy, pet rooms sensibly sited on the ground floor. And being able to get room service meals was a massive bonus

It was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was just off M6 with all access to Windermere, Scotland and Keswick. Not many grocery stores or eateries to choose from in Tebay, so make sure you pick something up. Quaint little village. The host provided a little basket of breakfast items to start us off- very kind

Easy to get to location, ideal for a stop off and well located for Lakes and Yorkshire dales. Breakfast was not included but Tebay services are only 5 mins away in the car. The cleanliness of the property was very good and also the beds were very comfortable with lovely clean sheets

The Old School is easily located just off the M6 I have used it before as fish locally on the River Lune and this B and B is located in Tebay for my fishing People are really friendly
