Location was great. View amazing. Room was lovely. Host Phil was willing to help with anything including great tips for local restaurants.

This is our 2nd stay here, just as good. Staff are great, food was very good. Room was very clean and comfortable, lovely decor and furnishings. Very dog friendly and exceptional value for money breakfast. We have stayed in 8 hotels in 8 days and this one was the best overall and value for money.

Everything, staff and accommodation, it said on website,spa would be closed so didn't expect full services

Amazing location and great view

Pretty comfortable, clean and a short walk to restaurants and shops. Pretty easy to find parking, its good money for the area and a short drive if you are planning to explore the Lake District.

Breakfast was served by the open fire. Lots of fresh quality ingredients and great portions to set you up for the day. Room had lots of character and the separate lounge area was great to unwind after a busy day!

Everything , especially exceptional service and the hotel is quite beautiful both inside and outside.

In a two week tour around England - Oxford, Cotswolds, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and Windsor - The Linthwaite was our FAVORITE property. We found ourselves planning our next return even before we had left.

We made a last minute decision to head to the Lakes for a couple of nights and this was an absolute gem of a find. The house itself is in a lovely setting and just far enough away from town to feel like you're away from the bustle. The staff are brilliant, very professional but equally welcoming and friendly. Breakfast has plenty of choice with good quality produce. Our room was a good size and immaculately clean. I feel the room was reasonably priced and we would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Lovely staff at the desk to welcome us upon our arrival at Aphrodites. We stayed in the rose gold studio we thoroughly enjoyed our stay the Studio was immaculate throughout. Relaxing hot tub sauna and the bath in the floor was stunning and possibly our favorite feature! The bed was amazingly comfortable.
