It was in a beautiful setting, lovely country walks to explore and ideal for our dog. Would love to come back in the future. Staff were lovely, we had an evening meal and breakfast, all served hot and with a smile.

The Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm museum are both nearby and excellent days out. We had an excellent meal out at Atrium restaurant in Yeovil where the food and ambiance were great. The Country Park has lovely walks. Although the town itself is a little run down (where isn’t), it was clean and some renovation and refurbishment was going on. There was a lovely square with water spouts that children were enjoying. It felt safe.

It was a very central base which to set forth from in order to see the places I planned. To be fare I did not spend any time in Yeovil as only set forth on my journeys to visit different locations. I am sure another time I can spend time exploring itself

Yeovil, a lovely town, in places!

Yeovil, a lovely town, in places! The high street area and precinct is trying to bring the place up but, as is common with other towns and cities in the UK, they are lacking proper investment. Some good shops but also a lot of charity shops. the centre appears to be a building site at present - hopefully something good is planned....

worst part of Yeovil is the bottom end of town in the pedestrianised area as there seems to be a regular crowd of junkies and unsavoury types hanging around drinking bottles of unknown substances and smoking weed and nobody is moving them on. Top end of town is more pleasant but parking is a really bad problem.

Unfortunately this visit was not for pleasure so didn’t do any sightseeing. However, we know the area is ideally situated for seeing both coast and countryside. The traffic in the town can get rather congested and thought some areas would flow better if there were traffic lights.

Due to our commitments we arrived late at the property. Was difficult to find somewhere to have a meal. Unfortunately ended up in McDonalds which disappointing. Appears to be a curfew after 9.30. Not an appealing place to place in the evening.
