If you're looking for a place to stay in the Caucasus mountains, in a sweet little village in Svaneti – this is the one. It’s more than just a guesthouse – it’s a true homestay, full of warmth, kindness, and genuine care. Already in the morning of our booking, the host reached out to ask when we would arrive and helped us with directions so we wouldn't get lost. She also asked in advance about our preferences for dinner and breakfast, so she could prepare accordingly – and let me tell you, the dinner was absolutely dreamy, simple and delicious, made with love and attention to our tastes. When we arrived in the village, the family welcomed us, took our heavy bags to help us (we came with bicycles), and did it all with a smile. Their son is such a sweet guy – he even offered to drive us to down ro village to buy water, but we ended up walking there on a beautiful 10-minute path with stairs, following his lovely directions. The view from their balcony is stunning, with peaceful mountains and the river all around. Highly, highly recommended. 🧡

And the stars… what a show! When was the last time you saw the Milky Way with the naked eye? Here you’ll see millions of sparkling stars every night. By day, the mountain views are just as breathtaking — the kind that make you rethink what truly matters in life. Have you ever stood on a mountain and watched a cloud drift straight through you? Or breathed so deeply the fresh air made you feel dizzy, like a glass of fine wine? You’ll experience all that here. The cottage sits high on the mountain, about 600 meters from an authentic Svan village called Pari. It’s so secluded you can’t even see the village — just you, the mountain, and the views. The cottage is impressively spacious, with enough room for two families with kids, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The hosts also offer delicious home-cooked meals at very fair prices, made by a local grandmother. My wife literally had tears in her eyes when she tasted the homemade meat blintzes on our first day; she said it reminded her of her childhood home cooking. Outside, the yard is full of great spots: a shaded sitting area under a fruit tree, two hammocks, a swing perched on the cliff edge (perfect for photos), and a firepit to warm up on cool nights. A supermarket is just a 10-minute drive away for basic supplies.
