Such a beautiful house with an amazing view!! They made us feel very welcome while we were travelling with our baby, and Veronica (the owner) was very friendly, and super helpful giving us some restaurant recommendations for our next destinations - all of which we ended up going to, and loved! It was also straightforward charging our car, which was so convenient and the breakfast from the local bakery was delicious.

Iconic! Ruins to wander with sheep and cows.

Iconic! Ruins to wander with sheep and cows. Walking paths of all kinds. Found great Indian restaurant. Easy navigations, parking at main site with easy access bathrooms and coffee shop. Short stay focused on Rock and Hore Abbey, could have lingered in area longer. Wanted to go to cultural center but couldn’t.

After great breakfast at Ashmore House B&B we walked up The Rock of Cashel early at 09.30, before the crowds. Immediately joined a tour with excellent tour guide. Lovely walk back across the Bishops Path and relaxing morning coffee in the sun at The Palace Hotel.

What an adorable town!

What an adorable town! The people were so kind, and there were lots of little nooks and crannies to explore besides the Castle itself. Adorable shops and eateries. Especially Bowe and Co.!! What an incredible breakfast and kind people.

It's strange; there's almost no mention of Cashel in any tourist literature put out by the various Irish agencies to promote the town. It's really a hidden gem for those who want to explore very important and well preserved medieval landmarks such as the Rock of Cashel, Hore Abbey or just down the road to the castle/fort in Cahir. There is also the beautiful farmland that make up the Golden Vale and County Tipperary. The town of Cashel itself is pretty small; a SuperValu in the center of town and a much better shopping center to the east with a big Tesco. Not a lot of eating choices either. We were able to get lunch in Feehan's Pub but that closes at 4:30 so no dinner. There weren't a lot of other choices but had a decent meal at Brian Boru.

Not impressed with Mikey Ryans.

Not impressed with Mikey Ryans. It was good food, but too modern. It could have been a restaurant in the US. Price was high for food served. Hotel Bailey's for dinner, per our host's recommendation, was fabulous. Fire burning the fireplace, great food and atmosphere! Donaghue's had traditional music, great place! Cashel House was a very nice B & B. Loved the history of the house. Great accoommodations! Very close and easy walking to everything, including Rock of Cashel and the Irish Heritage Museum. Traditional Irish breakfast was delicious and prepared to order. The information and artifacts in the Heritage Museum were very interesting and well worth the visit. Cute little hole in the wall place.

If you intend to explore Tipperary and the coast with a car a bit, this town is a good spot to stay. Less touristy and central to major roads. Very picturesque. One day is enough to see Cashel and one night and day to explore Cashel and Cabot.

What a fantastic find. The house sits in quiet countryside outside of Cashel. You will need a car to visit the area. It was a joy to meet Tommy & Joan the owners who were so welcoming and gave us great information on local attractions, pubs & restaurants. The cooked breakfast was amazing.
