This is an exceptional hotel. If you like warm rooms, this is the place. We often stay in hotels in ireland and uk and find the rooms too cold. Not at Lady Gregory.. Great welcoming staff here as well.

We felt very comfortable during our stay. Even though we arrived later than expected, they were waiting for us to give us all the instructions. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and there was a breakfast area well equipped with something to eat and drink. Overall, it was a great experience and we definitely recommend it.

The hospitality by Josephine was exceptional. Sometimes it is best to stay away from hotels and stay with bnb. The host, location, guests were very good, helpful and kind. The place is away from the road and town (not too far) but very quiet and peaceful.

The location of the bed and breakfast was the epitome of the Irish experience in the countryside! Right in the heart of its rolling hills and farm life. The room was separate from the homestead, so it offered such a lovely, private abide. Very quiet and pleasant. We slept great!!! Everything about it was comfortable and simple. Loved it!

Accomodation was perfectly located for the retreat me and my sisters had. It was private. It had all the facilities needed. We had a lovely walk by the country road and also discovered a river. We did not meet staff but was we had prompt responses to messages. We loved it so much we would have to visit again.

Gort lies in South Galway and is a good location for both history buffs and walkers/hikers: The ancient monastic site of Kilmacduagh is close to the town. Coole Park, the home and estate of Lady Gregory - the co-founder of the Abbey Theatre is also nearby, There are plenty of walks in Coole Park to suit all levels of fitness and Burren National Park is also within striking distance -about 25 km - from Gort for the more adventurous hiker.

Great host. Enjoyed our stay. Very clean and comfortable accommodation with nice breakfast. Located across the road from monastic ruins. Great location. Host was friendly and helpful. Would have loved to stay longer and explore the countryside in this area.

Gort is a quiet country town.

Gort is a quiet country town. I love the old hardware store which still has a bar at the back. Visit ‘The Field’ for a gorgeous meal. It’s very ‘old time’ Ireland - and I’m Irish :) It’s an affordable location to your around the Burren, Kinvara, Ballyvaughan, Poulnabrone Dolmen etc. Only 30 minute drive from Galway.

I live near Gort and shop there every week so it was hardly an expedition. I'd say Gort isn't the most fascinating town in Ireland but it could be an interesting stop if you are interested in Yeats, it's very near Coole Park and also only a short drive to the Thoor Ballylee,

Friendly staff. At check-in receptionist mentioned gently that there was a function at the hotel that night; when we got back to the hotel in the early hours the party was audibly in full swing in the bar. Without prompting a staff member who was about to leave offered to get water for our room. A small easy thing that made our stay better, thank you. Quick check-in / check-out, without the screen-staring and needless feature-listing that many hotel groups seem to think is essential. Thanks.

Everything in the accommodation is brand new. We were some of the first guests to stay here. Gort is a nice spot for history with Lady Gregory, W. B. Yeats and Jack B. Yeats, as well as a few interesting saints, having spent time in the area. Nice nature nearby. The window in our room had a comfy seat built into it allowing you to relax and watch the street outside. The shared kitchen area is really handy for storing milk etc.

The property was lovely and spacious and our room was very clean, as was the bed, which also happened to be very comfortable. Added to this, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. Another plus is that the property is located slap bang in the centre of Gort. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone.

The cottage was so clean and beautifully decorated. Had absolutely everything you would need. Eithne was a fantastic host, had the stove lighting for us when we got there and plenty to keep it going over the 2 days. Location is close to Gort, only a 10 min drive. Highly recommend.
