While searching in Google for a good homestay near Kozhencherry to attend a marriage function, I stumbled on this property, Swasthigriha Homestay which is just 3 Kms from Kozhencherry, in Aranmula. My selection didn't disappoint us since I was travelling all the way from the US with my wife and 2 children. The warm welcome from the host,Mr. Varma and his caretaker Mr. Rajendran chettan,from the beginning, made us feel very welcome and as if we are are visiting our own relatives. They truly follow the golden mantra in the hospitality industry "athithi devo bhava" The property is well maintained, and the inside ambiance is not just good, but luxurious. We booked the suite room, which has a big master bedroom with attached bathroom, living, dining, and a full kitchen with gas and stove top, which made us feel like our own home. The complimentary breakfast which we selected from the breakfast menu (puttu and kadala curry) was delicious. Overall a memorable stay experience. Thank you Mr. Varma and Rajendran chettan for your wonderful hospitality.

The Pamba river which flows at the back of the property and the well kept garden with lots of trees, plants make it truly living with nature, so relaxing. Food is made in house by Ganga and the host Mr Jojy makes extra effort to make the stay more comfortable, like the chicken soup for my wife and the badminton session with his buddies and various other small details that he attends to.

The service was hopeless, food was inadequate, long wait, staff did not know what was happening. They brought a couple of idli's and puris when we were so many of us. Breakfast time not followed so we were late to attend the wedding for which we had specially come and selected the hotel close to the house
