Great stay! Clean rooms, beautiful mountain views, and Akhilesh and Aman were very supportive. Peaceful location near the helipad and perfect for anyone going through the helipad route. Good food as well. Highly recommended.

The owners were very helpful and coordinated well with us since the time we booked the hotel. We were traveling with a senior citizen who had a separate helipad booking from all of us. She didnt know the language but the hotel staff accompanied her till she got onto the helicopter. After finishing our Kedarnath darshan, we returned at 2 in the night but the hotel staff stayed awake till we reached and even served us hot and fresh dinner at 2 am. The food they served was also hot, fresh and homely. They even upgraded our room for free. Also we were traveling in a big tempo traveler vehicle and the police did not allow us to pass the checkpost to reach the hotel, however the hotel managers talked to the police for us and we were instantly allowed to take our vehicle to the hotel. They did the best of their abilities in that difficult terrain. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

This is a fake hotel. No such hotel exists.

This is a fake hotel. No such hotel exists. They taken advance money for booking. They have enrolled through Booking .com and doing cyber fraud. They call and tell if advance is not paid in full the booking would be cancelled. Now Huge 4 dham jatra rush. They send QR code for payment. I paid money 60 months earlier. After they switch off phone. I am having full whatsahps chat and payment details. Do not fall prey such hotel. Booking .com seems nexus with them as how they enrolled such hotels.

Gaurikund is the starting point for the trek to Kedarnath...

Gaurikund is the starting point for the trek to Kedarnath Dham. One has to invariably reach here. I walked from Sitapur to Sonprayag, and there was a possibility of a common shuttle service (Bolero) from Sonprayag to Gaurikund, for which official charges are Rs 50 only. From Gaurikund, you have the following options for reaching your destination: trekking, taking a pithu (a bucket carried by a person), a palki (carried by four persons), or riding a horse. Helicopter services are to be booked several months in advance. Depending on your physical state, you can choose your ride. A lot of fleecing takes place; hence, I would recommend taking rides from government-approved counters. What makes the trek more difficult is the push of the horses and the horseshit spread the entire way. Food options like fruits, Maggi, parathas, rajma-chawal, etc. are available en route. You can see amazing views on the way only if you are not catching up on your breath the entire time.

Everything was so beautiful when I visited gaurikund at the very first time in my life uttrakhand is really devbhoomi we can say uttrakhand is the heaven on the earth.My room was clean and all the things were comfortable in that room whenever I would come to uttrakhand I sure visit gaurikund Thanks to kedar cottage 😊😊😊
