Excellent place to visit.
Excellent place to visit. It is great place for recreation and patriotic tourism. The dam on River Narmada, the floral parks, zoo and the Statue of Unity, the boating experience, Swamy Narayan temple is a couple of hours drive. There are other places to visit such as a Datta Kshetra close to Statue of Unity. The relocated Shoolapaneshwar Shiva temple is another attraction.

Extremely well planned, will managed site to visit. A long staying memory is what we took away with us. Must visit once at least. And also must see Narmada Aarti. A devine experience.. the administration is very keen to facilitate visit experience of travellers and it has taken care of all conveniences of tourists. Very neet and clean. Airconditioned buses to move was a boon work very polite and helpfull staff.

Very nice place.
Very nice place. The whole town has been maintained very well. The roads are clean & smooth. Very good security, Senior Citizen Friendly & the facilities at the Statue of Unity is class apart.

Once you reach the bus stop into the Statue of Liberty arena...
Once you reach the bus stop into the Statue of Liberty arena, the bus takes you to almost all the places free of charge.
The entire area ( which is huge) is maintained impeccably and everywhere, there were washrooms and eateries available.
If one wants to see and cover majority of the places, parks and Zoo, you need atleast two full days to enjoy your stay.

The animal park was good too.
The unlimited free air-conditioned bus facilities between railway station and Statue of Unity and adjoining places covered under the day sightseeing tour package was fantastic.

Place in itself is very beautiful with lush green mountains...
Place in itself is very beautiful with lush green mountains and narmada river and serene surroundings. Incessant rains during my visit made it look even more beautiful. The statue also looks marvelous and it's amazing how the structure has been built. Viewing gallery gives good view but it gets very restricted. Facilities inside the sou campus are also pretty good.
Coming to the downsides - things are in general fairly expensive. You are not allowed to go to most places by your own vehicle. Private vehicles need to be parked in parking lots which are pretty far from main attractions and govt buses or autos need to be taken. This feels very restrictive and gets more challenging if you have elderly people in the group.
