My sister and I had a very pleasant stay at the Sikkim Tourist Centre. The location is excellent, and the highlight of the stay was the breathtaking view of the Kanchenjunga sunrise and sunset right from the hotel window. Watching the changing colours of the mountains was truly unforgettable. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff members were extremely friendly, courteous, and always ready to help. The front desk team was especially impressive with their quick and efficient response to every request. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and a great choice for anyone visiting Sikkim.

We just loved our five night stay at the Sumitel, the room had a large picture frame window with sweeping panoramic views of Khangchendzonga. Our room was spacious and well appointed with ensuite - great shower!! The Sumitel is situated in a perfect location - easy walking to points of interest, restaurants and corner stores. The real plus at the Sumitel is its courteous and dedicated staff who all ensure you have the most memorable Sikkim experience. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service at the Sumitel and the hospitality staff who provided assistance with meal selection - which resulted in us expanding our pallet and trying some new culinary delights for the first time. In particular, Akangcha Rai professional, warm and very helpful assistance was greatly appreciated.

It is a quaint town .

It is a quaint town . There aren’t many places to visit and all sight seeing can be done in a day . For people who can walk .. there is a 5 km stretch that can take you to the base from where trekking starts. For strict vegetarians home stays are the best option.

Pemayangste (Pelling) is a must visit if you are in Sikkim. If one needs to visit the best of all places in Sikkim in just 3/4 days, there is no place else that you would want to be in. Pemayangste, Dubdi, Sang Choeling, Tashiding Monasteries, Ruins, Kanchenjunga Fall, Pristine Views of Kanchenjunga, Kabru, Pandim, Talung, Rathlong, Rimbi River, Rangeet River, Rathong Chu River, Coronation Throne of Sikkim's King, Kathok Lake, Singshore Bridge, Orange Gardens, Khechiperi Lake all within a radius of 50 Kms from Pemayangste.

The big plus at this hotel was an attentive and caring staff, and an excellent cook. I can only speak for the dorm, which was spacious, and the shared bathroom, cold water only (there is a coil heating device which I didn't use) was clean and tidy. It is good value for the budget backpacker.
