This was a wonderful hotel, and I would highly recommend it! Has a wonderful rooftop bar-restaurant, with a very soulful singer, doing a live performance. The rooms are comfortable and good, in particular, the deluxe rooms facing the sea have a wonderful view to wake up to!! The other restaurant, downstairs for regular food, is also good providing quality dishes, only it can get a bit crowded at times.

If you are looking to have too much fun, PB/SVP is not the right place. There is Corbyn's cove (mini beach) but it is small and mostly used for water activities. There is heavy construction going on and changing rooms are absent or were being worked on by construction crew (as of march 2026). There's cellular jail, that's seeped in history and awe. This is not a picnic place and it will make you think about the price our ancestors paid for our freedom. The sound and light show of cellular jail is not a big deal and it seems to be over hyped, the production quality is very low and ironically the technology to produce it came from a UK based company. Be careful with autorickshaws..they will fleece you. There's no uber/ola/rapido so talk to locals on how much to pay for your ride before you engage an auto/taxi.

The most fascinating thing in the city is the cellular jail.

The most fascinating thing in the city is the cellular jail. Don't miss the light and sound show organized here in the evening if you are in Port Blair. Ross island is also a customary trip for people but don't expect many attractions here. Prepare yourself to beat the heat even in December.

Only spent two days in Port Blair on my way to and from Havelock Island. There are a few interesting things to see, and most can be easily accessed by tuk-tuk or on foot. Not great for restaurants, as far as I could tell, though the New Lighthouse fish restaurant by the marina was OK. Generally a bit run down it struck me as a place that, like me, most travellers will pass through on their way to somewhere else.

Very Small place but fun packed. Food is expensive.

Very Small place but fun packed. Food is expensive. Marina park is a must visit during the night. The sea food provided by the he shacks nearby is very tasty and is easily one of the best parts of my visit. Hotel stays are not expensive, and so are the autos/cabs. We stayed at two hotels, Hotel Landmark and Hotel Sea Shore Residency. The former is expensive while the later is a little small. Both places have good staff and service. For exploring scooties are the best.

Port Blair is quite a bustling place, but it's full of rich history and interesting stories waiting to be discovered. The cab drivers played a crucial role in making our trip memorable. Not only did they take us to the historical sites, but they also shared fascinating facts about each place. My advice—don’t just sit back and relax during your ride. Engage with the drivers, ask them questions, and you’ll be surprised by the incredible answers they provide about Andaman and its history. We visited the iconic Cellular Jail, which is a must-see. If you go, I highly recommend hiring a guide for just Rs. 250 for up to 5 people (Rs. 25 per additional person). The guide gave us in-depth information about the freedom fighter struggle and the significant role the jail played in India’s history. In addition to the Cellular Jail, we visited the local museums, the emporium, and the flag hoisting place, each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s culture and heritage. we skipped beaches at port blair. Overall, Port Blair is a place worth visiting for its historical importance and vibrant atmosphere. Make sure to interact with the locals and take the time to learn more about the incredible past of the Andaman Islands!

Great place of Historic importance.

Great place of Historic importance. Cellular Jail makes one very emotional. City has its charm with typical local market suiting size of Port Blair. City resembles Shimla with lots of rises & slopes on roads. Overall a good city having maintained cleanliness at public places & in whole of city. Lot of greenery is there in & around. Surrounding islands are beautiful, Havelock & Neil taking the crowns.

Absolutely wonderful staff who will help you with anything you need, nice location, nice room with a sea view. This accommodation is great for a first visit to Port Blair because the staff will help you with all your trips, recommend accommodation on other islands, and for this price it's a really great choice. Thank you very much for the accommodation and for everything, we'll be happy to come back :)

The location is apt for exploring Port Blair or reaching any of the ports. All staff members went out of their way to help us and give us suggestions. The complimentary breakfast buffet is good. Bonus: The playlist in the restaurant created a vibe.
