A little bit of paradise nestled nicely on the outskirts of Gir national park. Come here to escape and unwind . Located around 2 km from Sasan Gir town , a guest house complex set right in the heart of nature. Everywhere you look there is green ; from mango orchards to freshly planted wheat fields! The rooms here are like little bungalows all set apart , with your own porch and parking right outside if needed . The rooms are very clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. The highlight of my stay here was definitely the food ! It is as fresh as fresh comes ( straight from the adjacent farm ) Each and every meal you are well looked after, with some of the most creative and tasty food you will find in all of India . This is a family run place , the owners and their son are the most fantastic hosts you can possibly ask for ! They go above and beyond and genuinely want to make your stay here the best it can possibly be. There is even a pool you can take a dip in or just chill out and enjoy the views of the endless fruit trees and rolling hills. My favourite stay in india so far . Enjoy

Postcard Gir has beautifully appointed and generously sized standalone bungalows. It has a highly exclusive feel since there are only about 15 rooms in total Staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. Our duty manager Karthik went to great lengths to arrange transport, Safari planning and help with all of our personal admin requirements. The setting is serene, with a mango orchard and organic vegetable garden. The staff will happily set up a badminton net for you, arrange a spa treatment, and they even provide mountain bikes to explore the location. Dining choices were extensive, and the Indian and Asian food was consistently high quality. If you want to feel truly pampered like royalty Postcard Gir is the venue of choice!

Anil farms is located on a beautiful property surrounded by nature. My room was spacious and clean. My balcony overlooked the river. I could see crocodiles and a variety of birds right from my balcony. It was a nice retreat after being in the city. One of the best parts about Anil farmhouse was the food! It is served family style at set times throughout the day instead of ordering from the menu. They had a great variety and everything was sol goo! I loved dining this way because i was able to try a variety of different dishes. They also offer a high tea in the afternoon. It is beautiful to explore around the gardens and mango farm. There are many seating areas throughout the property. There are not a lot of activities offered at the hotel, but i was happy to stroll around the grounds and along the river path soaking in all of the nature.

Booking Experience & Initial Hassle (Negative) We booked our Devaliya safari using a contact number found on what appeared to be an official-looking Sasan Gir website and made full payment in advance. Upon arriving at the scheduled time, we were informed by the park officials that the booking was invalid as the agent had not paid the Forest Department. Our calls to the agent went unanswered. The Issue: The "official" site we used was likely an unauthorized third-party agent. The Hassle: We were being asked to pay again for the guide and vehicle to take the safari. Note on Staff: While the initial assigned guide was reluctant, another guide intervened and helped resolve the situation so we could proceed. Thanks to him, the trip happened. Safari Experience (Positive) Once we were inside the park, the experience was absolutely magnificent. The Devaliya Safari Park offered a great glimpse into the wildlife of Gir. Sightings: We saw numerous peacocks, jackals, vultures, eagles, and a family of blue bulls. The Highlight: We saw a lion and a lioness in full hunting mode, which was an thrilling, raw nature experience. Environment: The nature was beautiful and well-maintained. Conclusion While the safari itself was breath-taking and high-quality, the booking process was a stressful, fraudulent experience. Travelers, please be aware that unauthorized agents are operating, and double-payment is a risk. Only book through the official Gujarat Forest Department portal.

If you are really interested to see Lion in the forest, plan...

If you are really interested to see Lion in the forest, plan for early morning and late evening tour. Also, you should book for two to three days booking as it is tough to see lion in single day. It is sheer luck if you are able to see lion. Have your good camera / DSLR with you. This forest gives you many perfect pictures to cover. Very serene and dense. Eat light food as you have to travel patchy and unruly road. Somehow had a feeling that entire travel within safari was superficial and we didn't go deep in the jungle. People, guards, drivers and systems, everything is class apart. You will get all positive vibes. They are tourist friendly people. Government has done a very good job in administrative front

We liked everything - the GIR Forest and its habitats, the royal lions, the super tasty Sasan cuisine and friendly people everywhere ( hotel, forest, markets, temples). Our GIR Forest guide and the driver - both were so knowledgeable about the forest, its history and lions habits ! They went overboard to give us the best Jungle Safari experience - an awesome sunrise at Kamaleshwar Lake, rare sights and roaring of two male lions, 3 Lionesses and 2 cubs from a very close distance in one morning trip.

I had the worst experience ever in staying at tourist place...

I had the worst experience ever in staying at tourist place near Gir forest in Gujrat, India. How did a reputed online platform like yours allowed such a filthy and third rate accommodation for visitors to Sasangir famous for Asiatic Lions. We had planned the visit long time ago but we had a very bad experience. The owner of this place doesn’t manage this place instead it’s managed by Mantaram Hospitality based in Rajkot, Gujarat. They are least interested in managing the resort. This place doesn’t even have a fridge!! They don’t supply toilet paper for the guests. This resort is managed by a person named Anil who can’t read or write, He is ill behaved and tried to extort more money from us just as we were leaving even though he had given us a recent of payment of the due amount after receiving full amount a few days before. The guy who manages Mantaram Hospitality is equally uncivilised and tries strong arm tactics to extort more money at the last minute. We had booked our stay from 20th March to 27th March but they refused to let us stay after 23rd and we had to make our own arrangements to stay elsewhere causing a lot of inconvenience. It is racketeering run by local thugs in connivance with the owner. Never go there.

The safari was a great experience.

The safari was a great experience. Sighting a lion or leopard was of course important, but the ride through the jungle in an open jeep, especially early morning, was great. A word of caution, they don't accept digital payment, so carry enough cash to pay for your safaris.

Fab jungle!

Fab jungle! The safari was excellent, we actually spotted 2 lionesses and 3 cubs! The most exceptional part - sitting in the gypsy for old people is so easy because the gypsy pulls up next to an elevated platform. So no trouble climbing in! The same facility exists even inside the jungle where the washrooms are there. The guide and driver (Suresh and Bhavesh) were exceptionally good! The jungle is also unique - totally brown - unlike others which tend to be more green. Definitely worth visiting.

This is an excellent choice if you want a comfortable, relaxed stay while going on safari in Gir NP (which, incidentally, was spectacular). The manager speaks good English and went out of his way to make sure everything was alright for us. The rooms were clean and modern, the staff consistently friendly and helpful and the restaurant food (veg) excellent. We didn't use it but the hotel has a link with another in the area with a swimming pool so if you're at a lose end for an afternoon.... Altogether highly recommended.

Hospitality at the hotel was exceptional. The properly is beautifully designed. The staff go out of the way to make the experience special and there are so many thoughtful gestures embedded into the overall experience. Right from the time you land at the airport and are picked up by the hotel chauffeur until you are bid goodbye, you are well taken care of. It’s truly something special and Kartik and his team have left us with memories of a lifetime!

Great staff, wonderful food and a very detailed tour across the Mango Nursery - We learned so much and really enjoyed our time. You definitely will feel welcome here! Also the gardens are great to roam around and enjoy the variation of flowers and trees. And if that wouldn’t be enough, the pond where you can see some crocodiles sunbathing during the day is close buy and can be seen from the hotel (in safe distance of course)

Easily the best place to stay in Sasan Gir. I had a great time at the Daksh Eden. The warmth of the staff, quality of service and the facilities provided at the resort are all praiseworthy. I had stayed in their villas. The villas are very well-maintained with all the modern amenities. Our trip was accentuated by excellent sighting of Lions at the safaris. This trip was truly unforgettable 🙂
