The hotel was immaculate, and easily the best place I stayed in during my 10 day trip across India. The room was stunning, large, clean and had a great view. The reception staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond. Breakfast was also great.

Very good solution for backpackers in Udaipur, the location is very close to the City Palace. Both the room and the bathroom were as per the picture. Moreover, we really felt welcomed by Pappu who is the BEST host. Definitely recommend a stay here.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was beyond our expectation. Once we get into the hustle bustle of Udaipur's Old City, it was a bit overwhelming. But once we got into the gates of this hostel, we felt instantly at home. Every corner was designed beautifully, especially our very beautiful orange room with the turquoise door. We took a lot of photo at the picturesque window nook :D. Not to mention the place was squeaky clean, the breakfast was nice, and the service is detailed and warm. We also got good recommendations for tour guide and craft shops. Akshay (the owner) surely had a great taste and a vision with his business. Will recommend this place to everyone visiting Udaipur who wants to have a memorable stay, not only a room to sleep.

I was amazed to discover that this region is surrounded by...

I was amazed to discover that this region is surrounded by beautiful mountains and lakes. It completely changed my perception of a desert landscape. The lush greenery was breathtaking and made the place even more enjoyable. However, the cultural dance performance at Maharaja Kumbha Sangeet was disappointing. It appeared that the performers were elderly and seemed to be working for very low wages, which made us feel sorry for them rather than entertained.

Udaipur is a beautiful City.

Udaipur is a beautiful City. A visit to the City Palace is a must! Lake Pichola is stunning and there are many restaurants and bars around the lake where you can enjoy a meal and enjoy the view. There's lots to see and buy in the local interesting shops selling jewellry, clothes and antiques. Udapur is quite big, but you can get to most places in a rickshaw, which are very reasonably priced. We volunteered at a local animal sanctuary called Animal Aid Unlimited. Most people living in Udaipur know this organisation and rely on it to help sick and injured animals. Do visit it!

A beautiful, clean, peaceful city.

A beautiful, clean, peaceful city. It is compact and everything is maximum 15 minutes away. The old city has narrow steep roads and hostels have lots of stairs - so it is not mobility-disability friendly. I fell in love with Udaipur - so much to see & explore & experience. Best memories of the sunset ride to Bahubali Hills & Rayta Hills, the day trips to Chittorgarh, Kumbalgarh + Ranakpur, Eklingji + RAAS Devigarh! Rapido bike is super affordable! I plan to come back with my entire family very soon :)

What I liked the most is that Udaipur is so peaceful and the people are so welcoming and also udaipur is not crowded and has beautiful scenary.My favourite places where the city palace,jagat Niwas,Zeno bistro and Callisto restaurant.

My second time to Udaipur, I think it's possibly the best...

My second time to Udaipur, I think it's possibly the best place for a nervous first time India traveller to start it: it's chilled, good food and hotel options, easy to get around with autos, even Uber. We returned to the City Palace for the second time, there's lots to see there, a good 90-120 minutes is needed. We'd spent some time walking around the area, a little shopping, Ayurvedic massages, some tailoring, and lots of eating, drinking and swimming (in the pool at Udaigarh).

Good blend of history, culture, shopping, luxury fine dining...

Good blend of history, culture, shopping, luxury fine dining and simple street food , handicrafts, large lakes and boat rides. Great place to be. It's a safe City, id avoid walking in dark allies or being out after 9 for women travelling alone. Dressing traditionally helps quite a bit. There is entry fee to the museums etc but most places were kept in a pristine shape. The city is clean, calm and peaceful. Pink autos operating only for women are also available, bargaining is important however always be respectful and humble for best results. Cabs are easily available. Only thing is if you stay in the old city check the access points and save them on your map. Check with your hotel if direct cab pickup and drop is possible from airports to the hotel or will an auto be needed at some point. Some smaller lanes do not allow cabs and one has to take a local auto. Autos can be flagged down, I'd recommend using rapido for auto's and uber for cabs I'd recommend Udaipur to first time solo travelers as well.

Beautifully decorated guesthouse in Udaipur. Excellent location near lake Pichola and a short walk to the City Palace. Mr Sing is the perfect host, going out of his way to help and to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. He even searched the markets for some real ground coffee for us! The rooftop with a view of the lake and palace is a lovely place to hang out. Breakfasts are good too! Highly recommend.

For me, the best hotel in Udaipur. We receive a service of 10/10, every worker there was so kind and respectful. The rooms are perfect, with A/C and fan. The pool on the roof is super, with a fantastic views of the city and the park, all green. The restaurant and the food are great, we took the dinner in top of the hotel, beautiful views of the palace illuminated. I recommend without any doubt.

The best hotel we stayed during our trip in India. The rooms were enormous, super clean and cosy, very comfortable beds. The hotel has a nice terrace. The owner was helpful and spoke good English. Location is only 15mins walking distance from the old town and only a few minutes by tuk tuk. If I ever come back to Udaipur, will definitely stay at this place again!
