Sicily or at least this part disappoints with beaches - they are crowded, expensive, with stones, waves and not really cool vibes. San Lorenzo has stones in the entry. Galina also not very good. We went all the way to Giardini Naxos a lot of waves and not impressed. Fontane Bianche ended up being decent and Avola beach itself was ok. But overall I don't know if I would go to Sicily to beach - summer vacation, I would maybe go to visit towns which are great Noto, Syracuse, Taormina and the food overall is amazing but beaches not impressed.

We went to Avola for me to work on my sequel novel.

We went to Avola for me to work on my sequel novel. Both Avola, Gallina Beach, And Nero D' Avola ((Wine)Vineyard) are important elements. The setting was perfect and helped me breakthoough some critical writing areas. It's a bustling location with a lot nearby. Noto is a must see town c25minutes away.

We spent a wonderful week in Avola and would gladly return. The town combines beautiful beaches, authentic Sicilian culture, great restaurants, and a perfect location for day trips around southeastern Sicily. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, fresh seafood, and friendly locals. Avola is an ideal destination for anyone looking for an active holiday while still enjoying a genuine Italian seaside town.

A lively and very authentic Sicilian city. The city is not overcrowded with tourists and therefore retains its own unique rhythm and pleasant, almost homely atmosphere. UNESCO tourist destinations are all within reach, including the fascinating Etna.

A small town with all its charm. An unmistakable Sicilian vibe. Mostly local tourists. Great little restaurants and beautiful beaches. Extremely good prices!In many places, they only speak Italian, but the people are very friendly!

Avola is a great place to stay if you want quieter.

Avola is a great place to stay if you want quieter. We prefer this to the big cities but it is nearby other places to visit like Noto (20 minute drive). We had a car rental and liked staying here very much. Nice town, felt at home. We picked this to be nearby cities in the area without the stress of trying to park in them.

Wery nice room, located in the center of Avola. Enjoyed the AC, views from the large terase, and nice kitchen area with the big fridge, that we really used a lot. We get nice room right in the ground floor, which I liked alot. We managed to get a parking space near by, so that was not the problem. The city center is right around the corner, and the beach is reachable too, but we used our rentacar, couse we explored Sicily a lot.

Illary could not have been more welcoming! She advised us on places to go and where to eat locally. She provided us with things that we'd forgotten with absolutely no questioning. Really couldn't recommend highly enough. Great location for walking into Avola or driving to Noto or Syracuse. Very short walk to the beach but the pool at the property is wonderful!

A very nice and very well managed hotel. The staff was very friendly, breakfast varied and delicious, the rooms well equipped and clean. The hotel is surrounded by lemon trees and nature. So don't be surprised if you find some centipedes and other bugs hanging out in front of your room's door.
