The hotel was in a beautiful, scenic area close to many hiking trails. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but dinner was truly amazing (I booked including breakfast and dinner - advisable as there is nothing close by). There was also a lovely spa at the hotel. The staff were wonderful ... the lady at reception that took the time and trouble to explain to me that some hiking trails went right past people's doors when I could not find my way ... the restaurant staff whose exceptional service made me feel like I was eating in a five star restaurant every night .... and the gentleman who got up at 05:00 in the rain and cold to help me get to the bus stop I needed to be at in order to continue my journey.

The food, facilities, room and staff of the hotel. I had high expectations of the hotel and it met my expectations. Other than the physical aspect of the facilities, the service standard was impeccable! From the reception to housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone did their job so professionally. We were welcomed to breakfast and dinner everyday. The dinner served every evening was curated with great effort. We stayed for 4 nights and I only wished we were there longer. The pool and spa facilities were also great especially if it happens to be a rainy day, we can just stay in and enjoy the facilities.

We were there over the Christmas period and it was magical.

We were there over the Christmas period and it was magical. Beautiful town surrounded by stunning scenery. Lots of little streets to explore with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Transport links were good with the mainline train station within walking distance (20 mins) of the town centre. We also used the ski bus to get up into the mountains for skiing and hiking.

Very pleasant,peaceful town with excellent transport facilities for exploring the dolomite areas and the meadow pastures,a walkers paradise.Tourist information office has masses of info,leaflets and suggestions.

This is a relatively small town and so easily walkable with...

This is a relatively small town and so easily walkable with lots of really nice local bakers, and shops selling cheese, wine, speck and chocolate - plus the usual supermarkets, pharmacies and places where you can get all your hiking and walking gear. Try strolling along all the narrow streets that lead off the main square to see what's there. A really pleasant and slightly longer walk to take is by following the path along the river to the nearby Neustift/Novacella Abbey where you can try the excellent wine they make there (the local grape varieties are Kerner and Sylvaner) and cheese.

It is a decent base for trips in the Dolomites, but there...

It is a decent base for trips in the Dolomites, but there are better. I chose it due to availability and prices. While the city sits right on the side of the autostrada, the actual connections to it are quite far and take surprising long to get to. The Aquarena is a good place for kids to spend a few hours.

The old town is wonderful - its clean its easy to get around...

The old town is wonderful - its clean its easy to get around . the walks along the banks of the 2 rivers who meet in Bessanone are tree-lined, but watch out for casual cyclists. The surrounding mountains (up to 2000m), and small villages are truly spectacular. Train and bus services seem to be excellent although it can be difficult to get reliable information on times. The Brexin Card (free from our accomodation) provides free/discounted entry to various venues and services. This card is an initiative that otther towns could well adopt to assist travellers

Beautifully located hotel, very unique, you could truly connect to nature there. Rooms very nice and spacious. Loved our balcony, you have view of the mountains in every part of the hotel. SPA area was amazing. Activities organised by hotel were and excellent experience - sauna infusions, salt scrubs etc. Dinner was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had.
