United StatesOur hostess, Sonja, and her entire staff were super helpful. When we had trouble navigating the streets to their location, Sonja came and picked us up at the municipal plaza, and one of her staff members parked our car in a more accessible parking lot. Although the staff did not speak English (Sonja does) they ministered to our every need using Google translate. The B&B is beautifully decorated with all modern features.

A typical historic small Tuscan hill town with old piazzas, loggias and atmospheric narrow streets. Brilliant food and drink scene and always a festival or something going on. Some really nice bars for an appertivo too. The old town is quite walkable from the railway station (the hill is not too bad!) and days out by train or bus to Arezzo, Cortona and places around Lago Trasimeno are possible if you base yourself here.

My dad, my brother, and I stayed at Agriturismo Villa La...
My dad, my brother, and I stayed at Agriturismo Villa La Fontina for 8 days, and it was honestly the perfect base for our trip around Tuscany.
The Villa is in Castiglion Fiorentino, which turned out to be a fantastic choice. It’s a really beautiful, authentic town that doesn't feel touristy at all. There are plenty of great local restaurants and spots to check out, and since it’s not overcrowded, you get a real taste of Italy. Plus, the location is ideal for day trips—we managed to drive out and see so many different parts of Tuscany easily every day.
The property itself is part of a beautiful old Villa that’s been renovated. Everything looks fresh, clean, and modern, but they still kept that authentic Italian charm. The Villa has just four rooms in total, so it feels very quiet and peaceful. The three of us shared one room with three beds, and it was super spacious with a great, large bathroom.
The grounds are also lovely—there’s a really nice, well-kept garden right by the house, and then it opens up into beautiful, wild countryside all around.
Breakfast each morning was excellent and gave us a great start to the day. But the best part of the stay has to be Valentina, the owner. She is incredibly warm, friendly, and just a lovely person. She genuinely goes out of her way to make sure you have everything you need and that your stay is perfect.
Staying here was an amazing experience. If you're planning a trip to Tuscany, definitely book this place. We’d love to come back!

We love the peacefullness and the warmness in this place. The owners Jenni and Stephen are wonderfull, dedicated to help their guest. The heart of the kitchen- Carla, makes delicious breakfast. The friendly animals Luna dog and the cats, are joy of a day. We came to this place with our family already a second time. It’s a feeling like coming home because of the friendshipness we share already with the people of La Pievuccia.

A lovely village. Has all the charm but still walkable to the town and its bars, restaurants and cultural sights. Also has a rail link to get to Arezzo and Florence The place was super clean. Alberto was really flexible on our check in too. Outside seating areas was lovely to sit and have a glass of wine. Alberto’s mum was so lovely too. She opened the gate for us when we left. A very sweet lady xx

After coming from the hectic nature of the larger Italian cities and towns, arriving in Castiglion Fiorentino was bliss. Sonia picked me up from the train station and took me back to the accommodation which was incredible. A bed and breakfast at its core but delivered with love. And the location? Breathtaking!

We had our wedding trip in Toscane. The location of the room at Castiglion Fiorentino is really good to make a tour at several places of the exquisite Valle di Valdichiana.The room is Firenze style, spacious and it has all the necessary commodities.

Excellent location mid-way between Arezzo and Cortona. Busy with package tours, but they handle it very well. Good parking. Good restaurants within walking distance. Helpful and friendly staff.
