We enjoyed meeting Maria and her friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and spacious. This accommodation is set in a lovely grassy yard with shade for summer and open space to catch the sun in the winter months. Maria's cats are also around and very affectionate if you enjoy animals. Maria went out of her way to make our stay really wonderful. There is also a quaint beach resort about 10 minutes walk away.bThe sea is clean and enjoyable.

Room was excellent with a great taste in decor for the room and bathroom. The owner was extremely nice and his sone spoke good english. The hotel had a facility with a kitchenette and was offered coffee on the morning of our depature.

Lovely apartment with sea views. So convenient for the airport. Really enjoyed our brief stay. Nice restaurants to walk to and the beach was peaceful snd lovely for an early morning walk. Much more picturesque than I imagined being so near the airport. Much nicer than an airport hotel. Great communications from the host snd easy check-in. Really well equipped abs clean apartment. Parking no problem among the road.

Marica was very attentive to us. We were only there for a day but she was very personable and made sure we had everything we needed! Everything was very clean, we had detailed instructions on where to find things/how to arrive, it was close to the beach, we wish we could have stayed longer!

little relaxing beach "village" with some basic shops but...

little relaxing beach "village" with some basic shops but missing supermatket store. There is Pasticceria Fieni, L'isola della frutta and small convenient store which we used. There is regular public bus which was always on time. The beaches are family-friendly with a gentle, shallow entry into the sea.

The small beach community reminded us of communities in southern California and Mexico. It was small, community focused with great options to stay and play. We ate at a delightful local restaurant, Marrobbio Trattoria Pizzeria, which attracted locals and tourists, so you know it's really good!

I think Focene is mostly a destination for Romans, and it has a reputation as a little run down, but it's also safe seeming, and just fine and there are modest beach clubs. (Restaurant, umbrellas, showers, etc). I'd say it's 'nothing fancy but totally decent'. It is however a GREAT option if you are flying in or out of Fiumincino and don't want to deal with logistics of getting into Rome or paying for an expensive hotel. Someone in Tuscany joked that all I would find there was rats. This was unwarranted. Some areas definitely need fixing up and I saw more trash certainly than Tuscany, but it's fine and safe and just kind of rambling. My rental apartment was 0.5 blocks to a beach club where I would have totally been open to a couple hours at the beach if the timing and weather were right. (I was there early morning on a cloudy day)

We stayed in Focene for just one night.

We stayed in Focene for just one night. We walked around the neighborhood and down by the beach. We were too early in the season to get a real feel for the beach scene. The beach was clean and there appeared to be some fun restaurants there (unfortunately not open for the season).

close to airport, friendly neighborhood, good pizza place in walking distance. Handy Uber driver. It was our last place to stay before flying home. We could have stayed longer, so accommodating. Like a home away from home!

Focene is a quite place, nestled in the nature beauty of the beach and a clear sky to enjoy. It's closeness to the airport and availablity of access by Bus and Taxi makes it very suitable for tourist.
