The property was easy to find and to get in. The owner was very friendly and get us to check in a bit earlier than the time that was write. The room very clean with basic equipment. The 5G doesn’t work that much but it’s ok, you can enjoy time with your partner not staying on the phone.

Gesualdo is a lovely location with many sights to see in the village ( the castle and old town). There are plenty of other places of interest nearby. However, you require a car to see these places. The biggest bonus is that there are not many other tourists.

We had hired a car so we were fine getting around, except that in some of the valleys between towns, phone/map connection is not consistent and can result in errors, but no matter because the country side is so beautiful anyway. Gesualdo is a lovely town with a very pretty old centre and castle. Lovely new flower pots and people working to keep the areas clean and free from plant overgrowth. Lovely friendly people who were happy to try and chat despite the language barrier. Prices of food and wine are extremely low and our favourite restaurant was definitely Da Peppino! Great food, fabulous views and superior service. Great town for walking around and also close to other towns like Rocca San Felice(lovely town and tower) and Abbazia del Goleto (huge beautiful nunnery). We stayed at a beautifully restored B&B about a kilometre from town Agriturismo Torre Gialluise, totally recommend this place.
