I booked for our business associates to stay nearby my home in Montone. They loved their stay. The room was comfortable with a lovely view over the rooftops of the village. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Village of Montone is a unique and special place. The restaurant and La Locanda is delicious. They loved their breakfast every morning was in the lovely dining room.

Liked everything about the property. We were able to check in early which was wonderful on a rainy day. The spa tub was heaven. It was conveniently located and we had our best meal so far at the restaurant next door. We would have eaten at the restaurant down stairs with its lovely view but we were too hungry to wait.

We stayed at Lo Smarrino for three nights, and it honestly felt like a slice of heaven. Nestled in a breathtaking valley and surrounded by pure nature, the peace and beauty of this place are beyond words. At night, we fell asleep to the gentle sounds of owls hooting and deer calling in the distance—an experience that felt completely magical. The owners are some of the kindest, most welcoming people we’ve ever met. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel instantly at home. We were also greeted by their two incredibly friendly dogs, a cat that behaves like a dog (in the best possible way!), and stunning horses—each adding to the charm and character of this special place. It’s also just a short drive to Gubbio, a beautiful town full of history, delicious food, and perfect for day trips. If you’re looking for peace, nature, beauty, and genuine hospitality, we cannot recommend Lo Smarrino enough. It’s a place you’ll never forget and will absolutely want to return to.

We loved everything about this place. I’d definitely say that the best memories of our trip across the country were made here. It’s a very special place, from the interior and exterior to the way guests are treated and the attention they receive. There was a lovely man who took care of us. Although he didn’t speak English, he did his best. Their attitude toward children is absolutely wonderful. Love, love, love!
