This was the only hotel in this charming little town. Perfect location inside the city walls. Room was very clean and quiet. Reception staff was professional and helpful. Very happy with our stay.

Lara was a very welcoming and the sweetest host ever (she picked me up at the train station and dropped me off there!!!), left a treat in the room on my arrival, gave me tips and a Montagnana map. The house is very cute and clean, and the room is comfortable and the balcony with view to the roofs and towers is a plus! The private bathroom is on a different floor, two flights down, which didn't bother me at all, but is worth mentioning. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The experience of actually being inside the tower is fun! Highly recommend - and would definitely stay here again!

I cannot say enough about the owners! Eros was amazing, from meeting us at the car with an umbrella and a smile, to bringing me tea when I got a cold, to offering great advise on local food, to friendly hug good bye. The apartment was super cozy and comfortable. The terrace was delightful with lots of plants. The view of the castle and city walls was spectacular. Close to everything - city center, restaurants and shops, the location is super convenient. Also, Montagnana is a terrific staging point for seeing much of the Italian northeast. We made awesome day trips to Verona, Ferrara and Marostica/Cittadella, and would have loved to stay much longer. Private parking made everything easier.

Interesting place.

Interesting place. We were staying inside the old fortress and that gives the place its charm. Peaceful and ideal for relaxation and rest. There are quite enough shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as parking spaces, mostly free.

What a wonderful town, that hardly any tourists seem to know...

What a wonderful town, that hardly any tourists seem to know. Complete medieval walls around the whole town. We walked round the outside (just took about an hour), then the next day walked round the inside, which was even more interesting, seeing the neat little houses built into the walls.

I was actually here for a wedding in adjacent Bevilacqua.

I was actually here for a wedding in adjacent Bevilacqua. But Montagnana is lovely in itself. Main piazza is impressive, with imposing church, and a fabulous gelateria (Dulcis) among other cafes. City walls impressive, especially around sunset. Small enough to easily navigate on foot. Has a train station with at least some trains towards e.g. Mantova, Padova, Venice (albeit quite infrequent). I didn't personally eat there but family who did vouch for San Benedetto restaurant as brilliant. Osteria La Rocca was also v nice. Try the local prosciutto somewhere, it's a speciality (and a good one).

Stunning location...old town nestled behind the fortress...

Stunning location...old town nestled behind the fortress walls with all the goodies a traveller would need....coffee & brioche a must in the morning ( nocciola -prob the best ive had in italy!! ) , restaurants, cafes, places to stop for the famous veneto spritz at every corner. Definitely will return 👍👍👍

A last minute decision. The owner/host was incredibly helpful and efficient. The property is just outside the city walls. Exceptionally clean with very good air conditioning. The room very comfortable although in the attic so a bit short of natural light. The rooms on the floor below looked spacious and one had a terrace. Montagnana itself is a wonderful place - great food and a Giorgione in the cathedral.

Eros was a lovely person and a very welcoming host. The apartment was very comfortable and the wrap around terrace was stunning with views of the tower and walls. We loved having the terrace to eat breakfast and dinner. Montagnana is a beautiful small town and a good base to explore the surrounding area.

A very nice hotel in a small town, with the main square a few steps away. The rooms were surprisingly large compared to other properties we stayed at, with a separate sitting area and a bathroom. Staff were very accommodating and professional.
