Out of all our travels, probably the nicest host we have ever encountered. We struggled on the trail and we're not going to make it by the end of check in time. He offered to come pick us up, had a huge smile on his face when he arrived, and had cold drinks in the car just for us. The stay was great, clean room, restaurant recommendations and reservations that were great. And when we left, we had a cold towel in the refrigerator we forgot about. After 15 minutes of hiking, and just as we realized we forgot it, guess who drove up with the towel in hand. He handed us the towel and cheered us on as we continued our hike. One in a million.

Wonderful house decorated with attention to the smallest details. Amazing nature. Lovely and cosy rooms. Super comfy beds. Great breakfast, excellent service. Quiet place to rest. We really enjoyed such a lovely birds chirping in the morning. Pity we were only in transit to Tuscany but we would really like to come back.

We were going to use Monzuno as our base for visiting...

We were going to use Monzuno as our base for visiting Bologna and/or Modena but ended up staying local. We enjoyed relaxing in the village and walking in the area and seeing one of the pieces on the BOM art trail.. You can also get some great traditional food in the local restaurants.

It's an odd place. We booked the only still available room on the Via Degli Dei in this town and expected a love-hotel. It has that vibe: out of town, with private entrances, a hottub and ribbons everywhere, but in reality most people staying there were hikers. The room was big, with a comfy bed, and it was great to watch movies from the 2-person bathtub after a long days hike. So slightly weird, but good weird. :)

Great hospitality. Me and my friend were walking Via degli dei and they came with a car to pick us up in Monzuno, made a reservation and took us to a restaurant and back. Very appreciated after a long day of walking. Very clean and comfortable, great breakfast!

The father of the guy who runs the hostel was very nice, in the Bar Posta. The location of the hostel is right in "downtown" Monzuno. The bathroom was decent. The room was not cold.
