We have been to this hotel a number of times in the past. It is a lovely old villa that is centered right in the middle of Norcia. You can walk out the door and find all that you need in the way of shopping and services. The hotel owners have opened a great new restaurant in a newly renovated building right across the street with a wonderful outside dining area featuring great local food. The staff of the hotel and the restaurant make the Relais a very special place - always happy, smiling and welcoming. We cannot recommend this enough to the traveler seeking a true Italian hospitality experience. Thank you.

Lovely room, beautiful linens, comfortable bed. The terrace was an absolute treat and we enjoyed watching birds. A hot water kettle and tea were available in the room. The staff were so welcoming and kind throughout our stay. And the voucher for coffee and a pastry was a real treat.

The apartment was brand new & very clean and comfortable. My child loved the beautiful four poster bedroom & the adults were equally as happy staying in the "kids" room. The shower had plenty of hot water. The location is perfect. We enjoyed our included coffee & pastry each morning at the cafe right down the street.

We were visiting Norcia for a hiking holiday. Some of our walks were memorable, but the local bus service was not the best. There was a good selection of places to eat, and the people we met were friendly and helpful.

What a wonderful village.

What a wonderful village. They are doing major reconstruction form the 2016 earthquake, but it was still charming. If you love pork and cheese, this is the place for you. Shops everywhere inside and outside the wall. We happened to be there during a truffle festival-OUTSTANDING!

I found the village quite dull - especially given that its...

I found the village quite dull - especially given that its three main sights were still closed for the post-earthquake reconstruction (that is due to change soon, if not already, October 2025). The usual mix of touristy restaurants and shops selling overpriced (but probably very tasty) local bacon, pulses and truffles. But: there are hills and the hike there changes all, the views are fantastic. I was in nearby Casteluccio before it was badly damaged by 2016 eartquakes. You can hike from Norcia via very well laid path (paved and very even at least half of the way) to Casteluccio or stop at the ridge and then do a tiny bit further to Monte Patini, you will not regret it. There is a water source before the last push to the ridge.

Norcia is a town that continues to undergo extensive renovations after a significant earthquake a number of years ago. Each time we return, more and more has been rebuilt and more shops have come back to life. We can't wait to see the main church when it re-opens.

This was just an overnight trip.

This was just an overnight trip. Norcia is still recovering from the earthquake. There is a lot of building/fixing going on in the old city center. To balance that, the people were truly gracious! And the food is delicious! I would have liked to have stayed at least one more full day to explore.

Norcia still hasn’t recovered from the earthquakes. The main square must have been lovely, but is still full of builders. We were there for one night in mid-September and the whole place was a bit dead.
