United StatesBreakfast was divine. Fresh jams and marmalades from the farm, plus fresh pressed pomegranate juice. Everything was so fresh. And dinner, when available, was a peak life experience! The farm itself is so lovely, and the infinity-edge pool makes it feel like a 5-star resort.

Palazzolo Acreide is a vibrant little town.
Palazzolo Acreide is a vibrant little town.
In the morning people are busy hurriedly having coffees and doing their daily chores.
In the afternoon it is quiet, except for tourists visiting Caprice or Corsino.
In the evening the Corso comes alive! Bars and restaurants are full and people love it. A great place for families to wander and relax. Love it

This was our favourite place in Sicily!
This was our favourite place in Sicily! It is small, friendly and a real community. It was amazing to walk out to fabulous historic sites and picnic by ourselves! We learnt a lot about the culture here over the 3 days and were made to feel very welcome.

This is a quiet town not far from Siracusa but cooler, up in the mountains. It is known particularly for its baroque churches and is recognised by UNESCO as World Heritage. The five feasts are incredible, full of local tradition and fireworks.
The town is very well known for its excellent restaurants.
If you want to visit museums check first if they are open.

Palazzolo Acreide is the right base to explore south-east Sicily; personally we rented a car and road-tripped almost every day to all the sights and destinations in an around the Valli Di Noto and Siracusa. Palazzolo on its own deserves a walking tour at the very least, if you are staying in town

A typical Sicilian small town, full of character and charming old narrow streets. Several good restaurants and cafes are available. Easily accessible by highway.
Only drawback, restaurants and shops close in afternoons.

Palazzolo Acreide is a quaint village, a short drive away...
Palazzolo Acreide is a quaint village, a short drive away from La Mela di Venere. We visited on a Saturday evening and there was a lovely atmosphere in the main square with musicians playing classical music whilst people soak up the atmosphere eating/drinking or just walking around. You definitely need a car to move around to the nearby villages as we never saw any public transport. Parking in all the villages in the area is easy and so is driving around Sicily.

This hotel was an absolute hidden gem. Really friendly staff, clean and functional rooms, a beautiful swimming pool and AMAZING home cooked food. They put on a dinner for 35 euros per head that was amazing value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a getaway with friends or a loved one.

Excellent location in the heart of Palazzolo Acreide. The host was welcoming and helpful, and the apartment was clean, tidy, and well equipped with everything we needed. Although the furnishings are a little dated, they suit the character of the property and did not detract from our stay.

The location was great. It is like a big park with bungalows with lots of space. So much more than a hotel. The personal welkom and friendliness was hart warming, also at breakfast and with our departure.
