We were hiking the Via Francigena and wanted a place near the trail - this property did just that. It's located on a vibrant plaza that our room looked out on, but noise wasn't an issue, even on a Saturday night. Check-in was done by an honest-to-god human which was a blessing after dealing with lockboxes and bad directions at previous stays. The property is located near many fine places to eat. Our room was large and comfortable. We needed a taxi in the morning which the staff helped get (our Italian wasn't up to the job). Breakfast was excellent - just about any- and everything you could want, served in a large dining area.

Villa Volpi has a peaceful hilltop location and a swimming pool with sun terrace offering panoramic views out over the Tuscan countryside. The town of Lucca is a 15-minute drive away.

Outstanding! They got me at hello! And overdelivered! From the early communication to the way they welcomed us: with warmth and disarming kindness. From the breakfast to the dinner- all so good and all handmade all fresh fresh fresh and lots of variety. From the comfort of the room to the design of the Asilo: all impeccable. I do yoga twice a day. I see every speckle of dust hidden under the bed. There was nothing. Even under the bed: so so clean and cared for and thoughtfully furnished and laid out. It’s hard to point one thing that we liked about this place because we did NOT like anything: we LOOOOVED everything. The hosts, the view, and the price too: affordable given the amazing value you get. And wait… there is more. A family of 5 friends of us from the US happened to be in the vicinity and decided to stay here too. Daniela was able to whipped up an unbelievable dinner for 7 of us and made their stay memorable too. Bottom line: it’s stellar place. You’ll love it. And we’ll be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful B&B. From the moment we arrived, the experience was simply unforgettable. The owners are incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive – you can really feel the love and care they put into every single detail of the place. The entire building as well as the room and garden are absolutely stunning, with so much charm and character. It’s the kind of place you instantly relax in - peaceful, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature. The breakfast and the aperi-cena were next-level amazing. Everything was homemade and locally sourced. All the small touches - coffee machine 24 hour, digestives, mini bar refill, bottle of wine in the room, and a welcome drink really make the difference and I wish more places would take note. Honestly, it was one of those rare stays where everything exceeded expectations. If you're looking for a peaceful, authentic, and heartwarming experience, this is it. Couldnt wait to return so I booked an extra day : )
