Very friendly staff, interesting architecture. Great for historic car enthusiasts. Only 12 minutes to the waterfront.

The location and the view were unbeatable. The indoor pool, a great retreat after a long drive with children. Staff was friendly. Breakfast options were plentiful and we loved the indoor-outdoor dinning options.

The Staff was really kind. I asked for dinner really late after the kitchen was closed. They offered a solution. Thank you very much.

We had a wonderful stay in Valganna, booked for one night then extended our stay. The big house is so inviting plus the restaurant serves a delicious shrimp and cherry risotto. The staff, the room, the garden cocktail, all contribute to a true Italian experience.

Great value for money! The staff were very helpful and even upgraded for free our room to include a view of the lake. The hotel is in fact a hotel restaurant and you must try it cause it is very good. The breakfast was also good enough for a small extra fee. I totally recommend it for one or more nights stay.

The breakfast was great! When we checked in, we were asked what time we would like to eat our breakfast and an entire spread was awaiting us downstairs in the dining room! While Switzerland in general tends to be more expensive for traveling than other European countries, the value of this facility was well worth it. Everything was comfortable, the views spectacular and the proximity to the train station exactly what we needed. The staff went above and beyond, by holding on to our luggage for us, even after we checked out, as we had some more exploring to do the day we left.

Very new , prime location at lake lugano. Best view in the lake. Staff very friendly made our trip memorable.

The rooms are clean and big, and breakfast was good as it should be for a 3 star hotel, one of the hotels that is up to its stars. I would recommend it

I didn't like nothing about the hotel.

We were upgraded to a superior room with a great balcony overlooking the lake. Excellent breakfast in a room again overlooking the lake. Nice touch that booking a participating hotel includes the local transit pass (Ticino) which gives free travel on the local train travel and discounts for things like the funicular to the San Salvatore summit.

It started with the man at reception - outstandingly helpful, nice and well humoured. We were offered an upgraded room; reservations for sea-side dining and bruschetta as starter. We were excited to know our tourist tax meant we could ride busses and train for free. Also, the soft drinks/water in room fridge were complementary. The waitstaff at dinner & breakfast were cheerful and all meals were delicious.

Super clean, comfortable beds, very kind and helpful staff. Extraordinary dinner - delicious pasta, grilled fish, many specials! Awesome breakfast too. We will certainly be back!

Very calm place if you are looking for peace-nice gardens and unique design

Collina d’Oro Resort is a very quiet , luxurious place with an exquisite peaceful view to Lugano lake, and a harmonious nature. We enjoyed the palatable Mediterranean and Swiss food, and the special intercontinental breakfast with nature view. Warm swimming pool with sparkling shiny waters nested in the heart of the surrounding mountains and hills. This is not poetry , it is the actual charm and spirit of the resort. It is recommended for families, and nature lovers! It is to 8 mn away from Tasis the American Summer school by car, and there is a bus transporting yo the Lugano center every 1 hour. A small library in the hotel lobby for readers! I personally highly recommend this place, to spend a healthy and mind restoring vacation👍
