The hosts were incredibly gracious, meeting with us at an available parking area in the town center late at night (due to a very delayed flight) and taking us to the adorable, large apartment. They thoughtfully showed us where everything we could possible want was, and had made delicious pastries for us for the morning breakfast. The bed was large and comfortable. We did not realize what an amazing view we had until the morning. Savoca is a special little town, full of history and beautiful nature.

The owner was very friendly and always smile.. My flight was delayed and he wait me until 11:30 at night. The breakfast was very good with some homemade food. Nice chat with him even I don't speak Italian and he speak little English. He also show us his small garden.

Great location in the picturesque and unique mountain village of Savoca, above one of the village souvenir shops with the same name. The village itself (one of the locations for The Godfather film of the 70´s) fills up with day trippers from nearby Taormina (film location for The White Lotus). Big bedroom and sitting room, great bathroom, easy parking very close by.

The residents are exceptionally kind, and the bakery is...

The residents are exceptionally kind, and the bakery is truly exceptional. It is a delightful destination to visit. Nevertheless, it is advisable to refrain from spending money at the renowned bar location where the godfather was filmed, as it is nothing more than a rip-off with subpar service. The owners prioritised the account.

Beautiful little hilltop village, great location and scenic views with some history. Reasonable number of good dining options but it's not a busy 'resort'. We loved it, but noted that others had commented that there wasn't enough to do in the village in the evenings - too quiet apparently. Probably best enjoyed with access to a car, but limited bus options if on foot.

Savoca is a lovely village with a lot of traditional charm, beautiful walks and interesting history. We found the people there very genuine and welcoming. The food was delicious. Very easy to explore on foot. A great place for godfather fans but you will have a lovely time even if you’re not interested in the films.

If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca...

If you want to put the world aside for a while then Savoca is the place for you. A little off the beaten track but such a picturesque part of Sicily. Be warned, you can walk the entire town in a morning and pretty much explore everything it has to offer. But if scenery, friendly people and getting away from it all are what you are after you will be hard pushed to find somewhere better. It does get very hot in summer and due to the filming of some of The Godfather here you do get the odd coach load of tourists turn up for a photo of Bar Vitelli and to do the wedding walk. That said, the town is that small that once you have spent a couple of days here you almost feel like a local and if people watching is your thing, then a cold beer and an ice cream in the square can while away a couple of hours. There are a couple of decent restaurants here too, but they are not open every day. Let's just say that very quickly you begin to realise that this slow way of life might not be such a bad thing. There are a couple of souvenir shops in the main square (if you can call it that), but they are not in your face. And if you walk up to the Saint Nicolas church make sure you stop off at Andrea's olive oil shop. All in all, Savoca is a tiny piece of Italy (Sicily) that you won't regret visiting.

For sure it had to be classified as one of the most beautiful "Borgi" of Italian historic villages (Sicily). The old , quiet village looks like a Nativity crib, especially at night with its dim lightning and charming Savocans! The story behind Francis Copolla's "The Godfather" makes it more intresting. I was very disappointed with the over-priced and money-miser approach of Bar Vitelli...... if you do not sit down and but an expensive Granita .... circa 8 Euro oer person than to just have a photo you are charged 5 euro. But ignoring Bar Vitelli ill-effect approach, Savoca offers wonderful walks, charming atmosphere and scenery, great vinotecas (Wine bars) and places to eat. It is a place to supreme relaxation away from bustling city noise, eventhough on Wednesday a lots of tourists invade the village.

It's a immaculate apartment in one of the most beautiful villages in Sicily. The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped, a great bathroom with plenty of hot water (we stayed in December when a warm shower is essential) and every room has incredible views from the balconies - looking at the sea, the village and at Etna in the distance. Parking was super easy close to the apartment. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend - and do stay longer than one night as we'd wished we had longer!

The location of the apartment is fantastic: close to the beach and not far from Taormina, but just far enough away to find peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of the day. The views from the terrace in front of the apartment are stunning, Savoca is a fabulous historic town. Maria, our host, was wonderful: very kind, helpful and caring, always ready to help and advise us. There are restaurants nearby with delicious Sicilian food and friendly service.

Spacious and extremely clean rooms with terrace, spotless bathroom, soft towels, shower with very strong watter pressure, free safe parking behind the hotel and very polite and responsive staff. If you stay here and have a car, dont miss to visit a village Savoca, only 3km away, uphill. Go early, before tourist crowds and enoy a walk thru the village where the first Godfather was fiilmed.

You cannot be more in Sicily than there. Although not close to sea it's worth to spent time there. Property itself was well maintained, be prepared for bit of walking as car should be left few minutes from house but it's worth every step. On the corner bakery, the next few steps coffee.

Savoca is a very small village in quite harsh country, with a combination of authentic place and a little tourist strip. The hotel has lovely staff and the rooms are very pleasant with great views of the countryside and sea. A real respite from city stays.
