We loved eveything about this hotel and stay. Since we were not on the skii trip, we wanted to relax ourselfs in hotel and visit Bolzano. Bus stop is really close to the hotel and nice receptionist gave us guest cards that came pretty handy by using bus for free and explained everything to us, where we should go and what to visit. This little town has everything that you need for a short trip and the view is amazing from the room. Relaxing area is wonderful, since we were in March, we did not get to see outside pool since is was close down, understandably, because of cold weather. But still amazing!

What did I like….Everything! This place was absolutely stunning! I don’t even think a 10 score is high enough for the level of quality and attention to every slightest detail. This magical place nestled in the woods along a beautiful face of the mountain is stunning and the meals…I’m speechless! Every detail and crafted breakfast buffet is beyond exceptional…it’s hard to travel across Italy staying at multiple hotels and feel disappointed after you stay at Bad Ratze because they make all other hotels look bad because these guys are top notch! Staff…fantastic!!! I will tell anyone going to Italy they can’t miss this place it’s definitely number one on the list of must stay especially while hiking through the Dolomites!

The food was extraordinary! They made accommodations for my vegan husband that were delicious. The rooms were great for families with plenty of room for the kids. The location was perfect, next to the gondola. You could rent ebikes onsite which made it easy to explore.

We ended staying one night instead of 2 because of fight cancelation. But if we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here. Clean!!! Close to town but away from tourists. Everything you need is in the apartment. We all slept well and rejovinated for the next day. My kids enjoyed their stay. Owner said that their is a restaurant walking distance but we didn't go there. We ate in town before checking in.

It's a lovely peaceful and very clean place with super friendly people and excellent restaurants. Don't go there in summer if you are looking for a party town. Hiking on the Seiser Alm is breath taking. One can get there easy by a direct flight from London or by train. Bus services are excellent. You don't miss your car.

I believe that Alpi di Siusi (seiser Alm) is an amazing...

I believe that Alpi di Siusi (seiser Alm) is an amazing place worth seeing. The Paula and Hans Steger round way is really scenic and gives off those cosy ghibli - heidi vibes. There was a lot to see, the roads are generally well managed and well marked. There definitely is some elevation, so come with decent hiking shoes and enough water/snacks to tackle it. There are enough benches along the entire round way to rest upon, and there are also a few Alms (refuges) where you can grab a drink or use the lavatories. The entire route offers scenic views upon some of the taller peaks surrounding the seiser Alm (like mount Schlern, or Seceda in the far distance) as well as beautiful flower covered meadows. At some places you can find lifts which take you up or down the meadows for a fee. We stayed in a small resort town called Kompatsch. You can get there by getting to Siusi at the foot of the mountain, leave your car at the parking garage next to the cable car station, and take a cable car up to Kompatsch. (the road to Kompatsch is closed from 9am to 5pm for the general trafic) There are mostly hotels, with a few sporty stores and restaurants as it mostly caters to the skiing scene in winter. (we were there in summer) The restaurants there generally close their kitchens at around 16:00, but you can still get a warm snack if your hotel does not provide a dinner. Also pay attention to the open/close time of the cable car stations, in the summer they operate from 8am until 6-7pm)

Fabulous spot.

Fabulous spot. The cable car takes you up to Compatch where there are dozens of walks to suit all ....from easy to challenging. The views are stunning. Lots of facilities ....shops/ restaurants/pharmacy..even buses....

A small charming town with magnificent mountain views. Ortisei and the Val Gardena valley are just 20 minutes away, making it a very convenient place to stay. The prices are also pleasant, unlike in Ortisei itself.

Siusi is a great little village with everything you need.

Siusi is a great little village with everything you need. A free bus to the ski hill was a bonus. Residence Erika was a fantastic choice. The staff were lovely, the breakfast fantastic and there’s a sauna too !

Siusi is a good launching spot for exploring the stunning...

Siusi is a good launching spot for exploring the stunning Seiser Alm. The cable car is conveniently centrally located, with ample parking or you can walk to it from pretty much anywhere in Siusi (or there are buses for 3 euros). There is a decent and popular restaurant with a nice, large patio at the cable car building. As of June 2024, cost for the cable car was 17€ per person one way, 26€ round trip. Hiking and biking (rentals available) around the Alm is spectacular, albeit busy in some places near the various cable cars. Siusi itself seems to be a satellite of Castelrotto, which is only a few minutes away by car and has restaurants and grocery stores and shops; Siusi itself is small and more of a neighborhood, but the views are great and it’s quiet and pretty.

We were warmly welcomed to our suite! It was really nice and quiet in the surrounding areas. We had two really nice balcony areas and the sauna in the room was a huge plus! You can order breakfast to your room which was amazing and greatly appreciated. The pool area was also nice and the location in Siusi itself was brilliant to get to the alpine meadows with a short cable car ride. Parking on the property was good but definitely fills up quickly in late afternoon evening but still always found a spot. We loved our stay - thank you :)
