Lovely Alpine town with superb views of the mountains, the old town is well worth a walk around as is the Sanctuary The Madonna. A walk alongside the river is lovely. Very good restaurants in a relatively quite atmosphere.

Friendly town with village feel.

Friendly town with village feel. Traditional Italian food at realistic prices. Loved it! We were travelling by train from Zurich to Como and the scenery in this area is outstanding- this was our stop over on way there. Could have stayed longer.

Beautiful small town with a 16th century church with the biggest church organ I have ever seen in a small church. Easy walk to town and the Bernina train station. The train experience is amazing, and can be done on the Bernina express trains which have larger panoramic windows, or you can travel the exact same track on the regular Bernina train with first class or second class seats. Highly recommend the first class seats with reservations, that are significantly cheaper that the Bernina express train seats.

Tirano was a lovely stop on our itinerary.

Tirano was a lovely stop on our itinerary. We were there to catch the Bernina Express, so were there for an afternoon/evening/morning. We enjoyed our long stroll around Tirano, it was easy to get around, staying so central. It’s very pretty, with lots of cafes and restaurants from which to choose. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant and breakfast in the hotel before the fabulous Bernina Express experience.

The base town for the train ride to St Moritz.

The base town for the train ride to St Moritz. We would recommend taking the normal red train rather than the Bernina Express as the windows open to take better photographs and it is cheaper. Also you can get on and off at the different vilages on the way. Sit on the left hand side going up for the best views.

Not just a terminus on Rhätische Bahn/Bernina Express!

Not just a terminus on Rhätische Bahn/Bernina Express! The town is very nice, especially as you depart from its central area, and the surroundings are simply marvellous. And even if stpping here just for one night, do not forget to visit the basilica, and if you can spare the effort, mount up to Santa Perpetua.

The room was quite spacious for a budget room, very clean and tidy and access was simple. The check in at the Terra hotel was easy and the ability to check out at the restaurant where breakfast was provided was excellent. The location is about as close as you can get to the Bernina Express Station and the main train station and there are plenty of restaurants around there to eat in.

A charming hotel right outside the Trenord and Rhaetian train stations. Beautiful views of the mountains. Located in a square with many eateries. Easy access to the rest of the town. The hotel also has its own restaurant. Was impressed with the gluten free options at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Will go again.

This hotel was well located and within easy walking distance from the train station. It was spotlessly clean and staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. Breakfast was as expected. The views from the rooftop lounge were absolutely stunning.
