We were treated like royalty! Room upgraded to a massive sea view room on 19th floor with 4 large windows and beautiful sea views. We received lots of reductions and complimentary gifts making it all great value. Fantastic infinity pool with great sunset views. Was fun wandering around the casino - not our scene to partake but mind blowing to watch!

Special thanks to Mr. Somros who took care of all our requirements be it transport, ferry to Koh Rong, pick up, food, etc. The hotel has so many facilities which we could not enjoy fully during our stay. Sihanoukville is quite a large city with the port used to access Koh Rong island. Though we liked our stay on Koh Rong if we went again we would have shortened our stay there and spent more time In Queenco Hotel on the mainland

What can I say about Sihanoukville that has not been said...

What can I say about Sihanoukville that has not been said before? There are a lot of empty shells of buildings around, like gray tombstones marking the end of investment by a particular cohort of people that skidded to a halt because of COVID, government crackdowns on illegal gambling, and the fickleness of foreign investment. The beaches are beautiful but are becoming more and more difficult to access. They are often guarded by walls and security guards. A close look at Google Maps will show you how big companies are buying up beachfront and then restricting access to it by making it their own private beaches. The beaches are becoming more and more polluted with rancid smells and plastic rubbish spoiling the white sand. Sihanoukville does not feel like Cambodia anymore. It could be anywhere in the world. The casinos and restaurants obviously cater to a particular demographic, and it is hard to find any trace of Cambodian culture. There are stories about organized crime, scam centers, and kidnapping but luckily, I did not encounter any of that. There were a lot of people with gangster tattoos but that could just be the fashion nowadays.

Absolutely horrible town, though our little guesthouse, Manoha Villa was lovely for our 1 night stopover. This town has been absolutely wrecked, and is unsanitary, half-built or deserted and in places dangerous!

I was at Otres Beach, which is not really a part of Sihanoukville proper but it is close enough to count. The area round the beach is great with many Khmer families coming to relax together. There is plenty of street vendors selling everything from food, ice cream, or beach toys. There are other restaurants and cafes in the area as well. Check out Khmer Noodles, it's a little cafe/ restaurant on the beach with a great selection of Asian and Western food. The coconuts there were very sweet.

If you can avoid this city, I would.

If you can avoid this city, I would. It's quite polluted with garbage. Obviously it's poor, and yet there are Chinese casinos popping up everywhere. It is just not a pretty place. I hope the Cambodian /government people can help the place up.

The management & staff were great - they arranged very comfortable transport from Sihanoukville airport to the hotel for our large family group and were willing to accommodate our sometimes strange requests. The New Year's Eve party arranged by the hotel on the beachfront was very enjoyable - excellent buffet and great entertainment. The hotel location is very convenient for catching the boats across to the islands (Koh Rong etc).

Rooms were big and the pool was a nice bonus on a hot day. It's location across the road from Otres Beach was excellent and it was far enough away from Sihanoukville to avoid the big city traffic, congestion & noise. Breakfast was good and the cook made us some excellent meals when we ordered lunch & dinner.
