This is my second time back to the island and my first time staying at Lanting. The staff is amazing, and the family that owns the property are so friendly, really making you feel at home. It was very quiet in my room, and a chill atmosphere in the cafe day/night. Very clean room with an unforgettable view. Chea is my favorite barista, who is always welcoming with a smile. Close enough to restaurants and stores, but far enough away to feel the peace and quiet. I really love Lanting and will definitely stay here again!!

We were treated like royalty! Room upgraded to a massive sea view room on 19th floor with 4 large windows and beautiful sea views. We received lots of reductions and complimentary gifts making it all great value. Fantastic infinity pool with great sunset views. Was fun wandering around the casino - not our scene to partake but mind blowing to watch!

Everything was exceptional! From the property to the kind and accommodating staff to the beautiful sea view with the bioluminescent plankton at night-everything was just perfect. The staff accommodated us really well, even before our stay! They helped us with our transportation to and from the island, they were in constant communication with us before we got to the resort. And we even got an upgrade on our room🤭. Everything was truly amazing! Definitely recommend coming here!

To be honest, when the tuktuk took turned from the main road to enter a muddy road, then passed by an over filled trash, and rode along some brownish pond, I was not very optimistic. Then we went up some small worn stairs and passed by some open place with some few old training equipment which finished to kill my motivation. But slowly, I started to relax, appreciate the calm and beauty of the area and everything felt much better. The beach is gorgeous, and you always have access to some sun bed, SUP boards, and canoe. The service at the beach is really good. The staff is extremely helpful and dedicated. The breakfast is really good, with the best croissant I hate since a long time. The food at the restaurant is really high quality, and the room withe outdoor bathroom is enjoyable. I really liked the feeling of the place. More family feeling than industrial resort, very quite and isolated. The beach is really nice, the sand is beautiful. the water very clear and perfectly warm. Just a shame the sea bed is quite boring and if you go for a walk in the "woods" beyond the beach it is sadly packed with plastic and empty bottles. But all in all, I highly recommend the place.

The location is nice and feels private but also not isolated as you can walk to several other hotels via beach. The glamping tents were very well appointed and lots of fun. The dining and hang out area felt elevated and also relaxed - classier than the other hotels we saw on the island.

This is an amazing resort. The food is excellent. The staff is very helpful and friendly, but not intrusive in any way. The room is very comfortable, large and luxurious, with daily fruit, snacks, and water. The private infinity pool with the villa is large enough for swimming and has warm water. We have had private pools previously in resorts but never one so large. We have been to many beaches in the world, but this is the best of the best. The white sand, warm clear water, and gentle waves make it the perfect beach for swimming. The villas are very close to the water for ultimate views. The beach is not at all crowded and has daily lounge chairs/umbrellas provided. Perfection!

This resort is our go-to every year we visit Cambodia for the past 8 years. Their exceptional quality of service and facilities are comparable to other 4 to 5-star hotels, even though their rooms are starting to show their age. A little facelift could help catch up with the newer hotels nearby. We enjoyed the pool and private beach the most. The staff is always accommodating to our needs. Now that more shopping and food places has been built around the resort, this makes it more walkable to explore the surrounding areas for local foods etc.

Special thanks to Mr. Somros who took care of all our requirements be it transport, ferry to Koh Rong, pick up, food, etc. The hotel has so many facilities which we could not enjoy fully during our stay. This is a stunning island with paradise beaches and tucked away secret resorts. Travelling around the island is almost entirely by boat or via trekking through the jungle. This is a backpackers paradise which is moving towards having European style beach hotels which will open it up to a wider range of tourists. Probably best to go now if you want to see the real deal before the roads are built.

Amazing stay!

Amazing stay! Sihanoukville offers beautiful beaches, stunning sunsets, and easy access to nearby islands. The atmosphere is lively, the seafood is fresh and delicious, and everything you need is conveniently close. A perfect coastal destination — highly recommended!

The best beach I've ever been to so far, really! I stayed on Koh Toch beach. It wasn't too crowded, and it wasn't too quiet either. Just the right quantity of super cool people. The sand was sooo white and clean. The sea was so clear and blue. To get around on the beach, you can easily walk while enjoying the cool breeze. If you wanna go a bit farther away, you can either rent a motorbike or take a tuktuk. I wish I could stay there for months, but time didnt forbid me. Highly recommended to visit this beauty!

The breakfast was wonderful, but, unfortunately, there was only an a la carte service available on the last morning. The scenery was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a little bit of rubbish about, and there needs to be an improvement there. The chalets are quite close to each other, but, with a curfew, this need never be a problem. It would be nice to be able to open a window in the bedroom and use a fan rather than sleep with the air conditioning. The resort's swimming pool is quite enclosed, and isn't very inviting when the sun's not out, but there is access to another pool further up the hill, which has splendid views. It's a good place to walk around and get some exercise! Plenty of opportunities to stop off and get some refreshment too!

If you like basic (very basic) peace and quiet, beautiful sunrise and sunset, this is the place for you to relax. Boats do come in regularly a few in the weekday and more at weekends, but they usually go near the restaurant, so not too noisy. Host, Nak, is excellent and will help you with many things eg forward bookings, as remember there is no Wi-Fi. The food is adequate as to be expected on an island.

Koh Rong island - first of all, NOT as big as Ko Samui! Expect different things. The island has different beaches, all serving different purposes. if you want something fun, stay at Longset beach. If you want privacy with your SO or family, stay at Golden Sand beach. If you want a different vibe, stay at Koh Touch beach. To get around the island, take tuk-tuk's or rent a scooter for as little as $5 a day!

The Island is great BUT accessibility is a real issue here.

The Island is great BUT accessibility is a real issue here. There are a few activities on the island itself and it is less crowded with a more chill vibe and clearer waters. However, so many activitie are actually on the main island - Koh Rong - so if you book anything online you have to take a taxi boat there and back.The issue with that is it in 30 minutes of travel, sometimes you have to wait for the boat to get full which can take forever, AND taxi boats only run from 7 am to 5pm. Same with ferries.

Sihanoukville is quite a large city with the port used to access Koh Rong island. Though we liked our stay on Koh Rong if we went again we would have shortened our stay there and spent more time In Queenco Hotel on the mainland

It’s a lovely island where you can get things to do but also go to parts of the island where you are practically alone. It’s a gorgeous paradise island that still doesn’t feel overcrowded, so it as a more authentic feeling vs other very touristy islands. My favourite island in southeastasia for sure 💖
