Great breakfast. Very clean. Great location next to a good restaurant. The airport pickup/dropff service worked GREAT and he ended up being our guide for the day, and he did a fantastic job. Highly recommend this hotel.

I travelled to and from Vientiane by plane, which is quick and convenient, and arranged with my guesthouse to be picked up, and dropped back. When I visited it was in the dry season and Phonsavan was a dusty provincial town with not a lot to recommend it. However I didn't come to see the town, I came to stay for 3 nights to see the Plain of Jars and other interesting places in the vicinity. This I was able to do (through the hotel) and I was completely satisfied with my visit. The town is quite large but the centre is small and can be walked round on foot. In the centre of town there is an interesting day market, a post office, pharmacies, restaurants and various shops selling all the essentials. I ate in the town in the evenings which was OK. The Plain of Jars is a fantastic experience. I would suggest visiting all three sites that are accessible, and the quarry, though best over 2 days.

I went just to see the Plain of Jars flying in from Vientiane on the midday flight and leaving on the same flight the next day. This was enough time. However, I was amazed at the impact of the Vietnam War on the region, and a second tour of the battle sites would have been interesting.

Getting to and from Phonsavan is a nightmare by vehicle, road is ruined by Chinese mining trucks, potholes bigger than a person everywhere, airport is closed, I was unaware of the drama getting to and from Phonsavan. No English spoken there, I wouldn't recommend at all in hindsight, Plain of jars was ok

The room was very spacious and comfortable.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Free coffee and beer were available and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Mr. Kong, our host was particularly helpful. He took us on a toor across the plain of jars and explained to us the history of the monuments and the country of Laos. We were very pleased with our stay and heavily recommend the hotel.

The Plain of Jars was absolutely fantastic.

The Plain of Jars was absolutely fantastic. Well worth the effort to get to the area. The city also had two excellent museums. MAG museum about ridding the area of unexploded UXO and the Xieng Khouang Provincial Museum with exhibits on the history of the area and the ethnic groups who live there. The big market is fun to walk through, very colorful.
