Everything about their home is perfect! It’s so close to the best entrance of Sinharaja. Beautiful home next to the river with sparkling clean rooms. No AC is not a problem because the temperatures are comfortable and even chilly at night. The best part is the hospitality Gunarathna and his family show, so friendly and accommodating. Always offering tea and inviting me to help cook dinner was an experience I’ll remember. Gunarathna is a guide in a the reserve and his sons offered to take me around the village and waterfall. So great! Lovely experience

The most amazing part of this place is its beautiful location. Apart from that, the staff, food, and facilities were all maintained at an exceptional level. The river flowing near the hotel made our stay even more relaxing and memorable. The swimming pool facing the forest was also truly amazing and created a very peaceful atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and definitely a 10/10 stay.

I recently stayed at Mist of Sinharaja and truly enjoyed the experience. The location is absolutely stunning — surrounded by lush rainforest and the calming sound of waterfalls. It’s the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was delicious, especially the local Sri Lankan dishes prepared fresh for us. My room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the greenery. Reaching the property takes a bit of effort since it’s deep inside nature, but that’s part of its charm. Overall, it’s a wonderful eco lodge for anyone looking for peace, nature, and genuine hospitality.

Sunil is such a friendly and caring host! We had a lovely time at his home. The view was amazing and everything was clean too. We also did a tour through the rainforest with him and he showed us so many birds we couldn't find without him :) We enjoyed the breakfast and dinner too and we would definitely come back and also recommend this place to others who are planning on visiting the rainforest.
