SwitzerlandThe bed is very comfortable. Room is well equipped, clean and spacious. We felt at ease, slept well and enjoyed our stay at Le Gite du Bonheur very much. We rented our car with Le Gite which has great options for their rental. Well located to discover the West and South of the Island. Lots of hiking options and sea excursions/ activities next to the guest house.
The Host is Great and will do everything possible to assist. Thank you Cody for the great hospitality. We recommend Le Gite du Bonheur and if we come to Mauritius, we will be back!

Quiet area, easy access to the beach.
Quiet area, easy access to the beach. We took the all inclusive package as our plan was to relax. There are few restaurants to eat in the evening. Opposite the hotel are local food huts that was well used by tourist and locals for lunch. Close to the hotel are small shops to buy drinks if you don't want to do all inclusive. Half board will suffice if yr plan is to sightsee during the day. The hotel offers free shuttles to nearby sandy beaches for the day as the beach opposite has no sand to speak of. The sunset is very nice to watch. There is a local bus a short walk from the hotel to the local modern shopping centre. There is no bus timetable, but that's part of exploring. We had a sea view balcony room which was well equipped. The roof top adult only pool has sun lounges with views of the ocean and mountain ranges. There is a serviced bar to buy drinks or use if all inclusive. We didn't use the main pool. Tuesdays there is a sega show on the beach opposite. The road from the hotel to access the beach is not a busy road so quite safe to cross over.

We loved the different ocean experiences available.
We loved the different ocean experiences available. The catamaran tour was one of our absolute favourite thigs we did while there, as well as the dolphin tour. More time on the other parts of the island would have been the only thing we would have changed with this experience.
Tamarin itself is very central and easy to navigate as a tourist. We found lots of places to eat and shop. It felt safe to walk through with our children as well.

Pleasant and kind owner and his family. Beautiful tropical garden. Two nice and kind dogs and cats. Very pleasant and friendly environment and at the same time perfect privacy. Possibility of conversation in English.

Sure La Preneuse is the nearest beach, though If you're looking for the best beaches around, take that trip to Le Morne beach, it's worth it.
We went to the only Thai restaurant in the area,'Ousaporn', indeed an oasis in that small town, great Deco, felt right, the staffs were admirable, the food was succulent but portion were quite small disproportionately over-priced .
A day at the beach at Flic en flac is worth the tour, watch the sun set into the deep sea, then hit one of the restaurant around the area.

Beautiful beaches with a multitude of activities for all ages. Christmas Day boat trip to Ile Aux Benitiers, which included a tasty braai (barbeque) swimming with dolphins and snorkeling around Crystal Rock

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels.
Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. It is centrally located for South and West visiting. something for everyone.

As usual vy peaceful place and relaxing hotel. Food as usual vy good. Also the Team at Yeh Man resto and the bar were vy nice . Really appreciated a surprise birthday cake offered 2 me which will always be memorable.🥰🤩A big thanks to the whole team😇Highly appreciated 👏 🤩The swimming pool also was vy enjoyable and not crowded .I would say a perfect for a any1 who want to spend a peaceful moments.

This place is everything you need in tamarin bay. The location is amazing, literally one step away from tamarin public beach. Everything was clean and new (when I asked our kind host, they told me it is only 6 months open)
The host was really nice and attentive to our every need. Hope to see you soon!

Beautiful house located just a few minutes from Tamarin beach. . Everything provided in the house has been very well thought out including a fully equipped kitchen. The host is very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!

The pool is an amazing refreshment and it's a short drive to tamarin beaches or Le Morne.
