The room was very big and comfortable we had the most amazing view with the balcony and the pool on the rooftop is perfect to watch the sunset The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the staff were full of small attentions, so caring and nice to talk to . The bikini beach is just in front of the hotel and is so clean , the hotel provides the chairs right under the trees so well protected from the sun. The owner was accommodating and helped us with every question we had. And finally the island of ukulhas is so beautiful calm and peaceful, a true moment out of time

It was a very comfortable stay it’s a new hotel and there was attention to details. The staff was very attentive. It’s was great value for the price . The beach is just out side the gate clean beach amazing snorkeling area . Had a lovely stay and highly recommend. I will definitely stay there again . I had one dinner on my last night wished I ate there every night before .

I had an unforgettable solo stay at Tropico Villa in Ukulhas. The location is perfect, just a short walk to a stunning beach ideal for snorkeling and relaxing. My room was clean, comfortable, and a great place to unwind after a day of adventure. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make my stay special. A highlight was the manta ray trip organized by the hotel—an absolutely incredible experience! Swimming alongside these majestic creatures was something I’ll never forget. The daily breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh options to start the day right. Tropico Villa offered everything I needed for a perfect solo escape. I can’t wait to return!

Wonderful vacation place, with a layed-back (very!) vibe and a mix of tourists and locals, especially nice if you eat in some of the places where islanders also eat. Also please be respectful of the locals who adhere to more traditional values, and cover up when not on the beach. No shoes in stores. It was a really fun time. And the staff at Ukulhas Beach Villas were amazing. It’s a 3 room “hotel” just 75 steps from the water.

Overall, the reef is good.

Overall, the reef is good. We saw a variety of fish, encountered turtles, sharks, and moray eels, and someone even saw manta rays. There are tons of cafes and restaurants with good prices, and there are also some decent shops. However, I disagree with Ukulhas's portrayal as a very clean island. Behind the bikini beach, there was some kind of industrial zone with trash on the beach that I cut my leg on, and a little further, a trash bin was constantly burning. At the end of the island, there was some kind of massive construction site, and there's also active construction everywhere in the tourist area. I think this will eventually ruin the island's status as an authentic place and turn it into a party place where the beach will be jam-packed. It's a shame that the thirst for money is clouding judgment and mercilessly destroying the pristine beauty of this island. I think in 4-5 years, there won't be any point in going there.

Beautiful island with very kind and friendly locals. Bikini beach is beautiful and the snorkeling is very good. Every place is at walking distance. There are good few restaurants for all budgets. Too many constructions on going. I really hope that the island will be preserved and it will not become too commercial

An amazing beach.

An amazing beach. We are keen snorkellers and saw an abundance of large fish, turtles and (safe) black and white tip sharks. A short boat trip showed us mantas and nurse sharks. Amazing location. The coral is different (perhaps not as good) as the Red Sea but the fish made up for it. We travelled in December 2025 and there were there were few people on the beach which was wonderful but new hotels are being built. Note that alcohol does not seem to be served on this island.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island.

Ukulhas is not a tourist-friendly island. Dangerous rip currents near the island have caused multiple drownings which continue to go unaddressed. The food across the island is inedible and prepared by untrained staff. The island is littered with trash and by no means lives up to its claim of an “eco-conscious environment”

Ukulhas has a wonderful house reef next to Bikini beach which is beautiful and plenty of places to sit in the beach in the sun or shade all day. Great access to snorkeling and other water excursions. Other than that, not much to the island. Walked around the whole island and really sad to see how unkept the public areas are. Other than bikini beach and house reef, not much to do.

The hotel is very close to Bikini Beach, which is great, and the sea, beach and underwater world are unforgettable. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but you have to ask for all the services and amenities you expect automatically. We enjoyed the time, although our accommodation did not meet our expectations. We can recommend Manta Ray trips, snorkeling safaris, and sandbank trips with Baraboa Excursions (baraboa.maldives).

We had a generally good stay at this small hotel on Kulus Island, Maldives. It’s a cozy, small property with a nice traditional Maldivian breakfast. The room was spacious, the shower was good, and overall everything was comfortable. The price was more or less in line with the quality, so we felt it was fair value for money.

The perfect place to stay in the Maldives, the hotel was 100% suited for us. A spacious room with two bedrooms and a breathtaking view of the ocean, delicious food in the restaurant, an incredible reef perfect for snorkeling with children - we saw turtles and many colorful fish. Only the kitchen works perfectly in the hotel, and the cook and waiters sincerely try to help and it is important for them that you leave well-fed and satisfied! The food is always delicious and fresh, yes it is monotonous, but this is the Maldives, so we fully understand.
