The property was small and personal , staff so welcoming,and the rooms very spacious , modern and extremely clean. Great location for Malecon, and brilliant views from rooftop pool and verandas, close access to beach with chairs and parasol free to use for guests. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast in patio area a bonus .

Everything is great in this place. The rooms, the location, the staff. The only thing I might say it can improve is the pool, it’s very small for the amount of people staying, I couldn’t even use it because it was full of people. Other than that it was quite a great experience

Amazing hotel. We LOVED the location. The design is just beautiful but what makes it the best hotel in the area is its staff. We truly appreciated all of them. Amazing pools. The rooftop one has an incredible view. We also strongly recommend the Sunday Drag Brunch which was so much fun. Food is also top notch. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will be back.

There is a lovely infinity lap pool on the roof with a glorious view. It is in a quaint area, very walkable, lively, convenient. Friendly place and staff. Decor is unique— gives you the sense of glamorous old PV. Recommended for someone who values charm over state-of-the-art conveniences like outlets everywhere and great showers. There is an elevator that works perfectly. A very memorable place to stay.

Its such a wonderful place, so safe, friendly with incredible food and nature just on your doorstep. Get your guide has great experiences from food tours, cooking classes and swimming with the bioluminescence. The sea is gorgeous to swim in. I started in zona romantica, and had a lovely time. Uber is cheap, you can get a lot done.

The PV community is extremely friendly and welcoming.

The PV community is extremely friendly and welcoming. We opted out of the all inclusive experience so we could take in more of the area and culture, which was the right choice for us. We mostly walked to each destination, but also used DiDi ride share, Taxi and public buses (to our boat tour/snorkel excursion). The Romantic Zone and Malecon provided so many options for eating and entertainment. We met mostly locals or families traveling from other areas of Mexico, not so many American tourists.

PVR was beautiful. The locals were so friendly. My family and I went in July (slow season), and it was perfect! Not too crowded. The weather was wonderful. So many places to visit. We felt very safe, Highly recommend.

Beautiful! Everyone is so nice and welcoming! Beautiful churches!!! The Malecon! The food!! The heat!! 🤪 the people! Amazing sunsets!! Love Puerto Vallarta!! ❤️❤️ Beaches!!! All are amazing! Taco trucks!! The best fresh made tortillas!! Tacos Al pastor with extra pineapple!! So much to do!!! 🫣😉😅

This is a great time of year to go to Vallarta. After Easter and mid May. It is hot but not too hot and before the rainy season. Reasonable prices and not too busy with tourists. The food is generous in restaurants and excellent. Only the airline gouged us on the flights :( even though both flights were not full. Thanks WJ. The Zona Romantica is interesting and easy to walk around. Although there is not a lot to do in PV. A week or two is sufficient. We were there for a dance festival so were were very busy. Nice beaches. Lovely people.

We love Puerto Vallarta and spend 3 weeks there each April...

We love Puerto Vallarta and spend 3 weeks there each April and November. You can walk a block and be in a fully Mexican area or stay in the area of your hotel or apartment. Everywhere seems safe. You can eat at fancy restaurants or in really great inexpensive ones catering to local people. Wonderful beaches, all sorts of excursions, and you can walk safely for kilometers within the city. November through April the weather is warm and dry.

Hotel Rio Malecon is convenient walking distance to the Romantic Zone and the Malecon. The hotel lobby, pool, area, and rooms were all very clean. Linens and towels were fresh and white. The water temperature and pressure in the shower was strong and hot. The room included a safe, which was nice because the room is accessible from the shared-balcony door if left unlocked.
