Smedsgarden Hotel was a gem of a discovery for us last minute. The location is right off a main highway, but far enough away and well insulated that highway noise is not a problem. The setting is so peaceful in farm country with lovely options for a walk. The family hosts are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is an exceptional buffet with ever so many delicious choices! The decor is antique and eclectic, yet welcoming. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and hallways, and built to last, quality materials balance out older furnishings.
