This House truly felt like a home away from home. It had everything we needed and more. We had 8 adults staying, and the house was perfectly equipped, from plenty of forks, knives, pots, plates, and cups, to all the little thoughtful extras that made a big difference. There was mosquito repellent, a first aid kit, and even board games, which we loved. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and incredibly inviting. We were also pleasantly surprised by the little touches like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided, plus a UE Boom speaker we could connect to such a nice bonus. The home also catered beautifully for my mum, who is in a wheelchair, she was able to move in and around the house independently, which meant so much to our family. This is by far one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed in and it’s right at the top of my list. A beautiful home with a beautiful view. We would absolutely stay here again. 💛

It was just amazing the kids loved the spa and the HUGE pool table it kept them entertained instead of their gaming machines which they did take but loved the spa and pool table so much they didn't even play their devices!! The beds were oh my gosh so comfortable I wanted to bring 1 home with me!! The views were just amazing even with the not so good weather! Thank you for allowing my family and I the opportunity to stay at your beautiful home!! Highly recommend booking this house you will not be disappointed💛

Everything - every facility you could want was there. The fridge was packed with bead, jam, yoghurt, cereal, milk and fruit. The room was warm and comfortable. Our hosts Paul and Katalina are super friendly and happy to advise and inform you of what the North of the North Island has to offer.

The location is absolutely stunning — very picturesque and about as far north as you can get accomodation in the North Island, making it perfect for exploring right at the very top. Not to mention we walked to the KariKari beach which had beautiful white sand. The weather during our stay was beautiful, which made the setting even more special. The accommodation was clean, tidy, and everything was kept in great order. It was quiet and very relaxing — ideal if you’re looking to properly switch off. The service was great throughout our stay. The waffles at breakfast looked fantastic — a real highlight in the mornings.

Overall, Karikari is one of the most beautiful places weve travelled too. No need to travel overseas when there is clear waters right here in the back yard of our country. There are so many beautiful beaches and lakes to swim in. The community is very welcoming and well looked after. We also took our rods and caught 3 Snappers from Tokerau beach.

Lovely white sand beaches, clear water, easy access to Rangiputa for safe harbour fishing or on a good day venture out further. Plenty of sea life and caught some nice size snappers. Enjoyed fabulous breakfast at Carrington Estate Restaurant at competitive prices and very good service. Need a car to get around, and a boat for getting on the water, we stayed in Whatuwhiwhi which had brilliant views of Doubtless Bay. Next time we would stay nearer to Rangiputa side for the fishing & swimming. There are a few shops for basics, bait & ice but only Carrington Estate/Cafe/Winery for eating out.

It is isolated so be prepared for a long drive.

It is isolated so be prepared for a long drive. We travelled 7 hours from the Waikato but having been to the Karikari peninsula before, I knew it was worth the travel. If you want quiet and serene with beautiful scenery and birdlife, then this spot of New Zealand is for you.
