New large apartments with spacious balconies, very clean, new equipment inside, elegant environment, parking available, pool available, home feeling all around. Nice staff, special thanks to Juan for his kindness and support. We rented a car, the area around the golf club is very nice.

High quality rooms, the hotel is brand new with great facilities. The staff were amazing. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool is a highlight. Breakfast was nice with a lot of choice. It seemed to be all adults, no stag parties or kids. The rooftop area is adults only so it's great for a more relaxed vibe

The place was very clean and had some good facilities. Nice sit out areas across the property. The property is very close to the beach. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast presentation was outstanding. The staff even packed us a takeaway breakfast as we were leaving early for the airport.

This property is the original in the Villa Gale Collection properties, but does not disappoint. The property is close to the beach which stretches for kilometers. A popular site for surfers, there is a surf shop, surf culture cafe in the same building as well as a great restaurant which can be added to your meal options for the hotel. Property normally has a buffet breakfast, but as it was near end of season and the property would be closing for winter, hot items could be ordered a la carte. The staff here was amazing, friendly and helpful, especially when we tried to pronounce some of the items on the menu. Fresh fruits, breads, cheeses, and cold meats were available on the buffet. The friendly staff members seemed always happy to assist. There was free parking in front of the hotel, but sometimes during the day when it was busy at the other shops, parking may be scarce. But we had no real issues. We attempted to use the pool one day, but found it too chilly. Note that it had rained with cold wind as the storm passed through and did some heavy damage to the surrounding towns. We chose this property in Albufeira as a central base to our touring to Villamoura and Portimao. Although the hotel is somewhat out of the way there are plenty of dining options close by that would be open during the high season, still we had not issues finding great food in the establishments on site. A car would be recommended if staying at this property.

Sun, Sand and The Strip!

One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.

Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both have a variety of water sports.

Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.

The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.

The town is around a 45 minute drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments at Booking.com.

Albufeira is a vibrant town, full of interesting sights and people. I had lunch at “House of Stew” on Rua Almeda Garrett and can confirm the food quality was so so good and service superb, very welcoming, I enjoyed it so much I went back again for the traditional Fado night..!! Excursions to Benagil very good and a vast array of pristine beaches to choose from…something for everyone. Getting around I used Uber very efficient and cheap..

Albufeira is a wonderful place to visit for both young and old. There’s so much for two generations to enjoy together, from beaches to restaurants and family activities. The only thing to note is that the older generation may prefer to avoid the Oura Strip, as it’s very lively, but the Old Town is a fantastic area to explore and perfect for a more relaxed experience.

If you enjoy the movida and a lively urban vibe, the city centre is perfect. Still, it lacks the charm and authenticity you’d expect from a typical southern Portuguese town. The food isn’t great, even though there’s a good variety of restaurants to choose from. Supermarkets seem more focused on selling alcohol than offering genuine fresh produce. The main beach is nice, but the water is freezing, making it quite challenging to swim for more than a couple of minutes.

Location too adapted to foreign turists with no Portugese identity. Expensive services compared to their quality and facilities. In the other hand, sea or ocean view splash any of your small claims... Very nice old city centre.

We loved Albufeira. Such a beautiful place. We loved the liveliness of the Old Town in the evenings. Fantastic selection of restaurants. The beach was one of the cleanest and nicest that we've experienced. People were genuinely friendly throughout our stay.

Spacious, clean rooms… comfortable bed, excellent shower…. Swimming pool available however I did not try this. Location is wonderful 10 minutes by car away from Old town OR Albufeira strip area. Staff ever so friendly and welcoming, a huge mention to Taci who made the experience very personal, reached out via WhatsApp before my arrival to better improve our experience. Room was also ready before noon and early check in at no extra fee… If you want a quiet, wonderful place to stay I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The highlight was the stunning sea view from the room – waking up to that view every morning was incredible. Having direct beach access via an elevator was a huge plus and made it really easy to go for a swim or relax by the water without any hassle. The location is also perfect – right in the heart of Albufeira's old town, so everything from restaurants to shops was just a short walk away. Super convenient and made the whole trip more enjoyable.

The villa is huge, modern inside and with all the facilities you need. Its in a great location with views over the sea. Albufeira Old Town is a steady 20 minute walk down hill. Top Tip, Uber taxis are very cheap and there are lots of them (4 euros to avoid the uphill walk back to the villa from the old town :-)). I would book the Villa again without hesitation

Diamantino was very helpful getting us checked in and was easy to reach when we had questions. The location is fabulous, close to the Old Town and right on the beach. You couldn't ask for better place to be in Albufeira. The apartment was clean and bright and had fantastic views of the ocean.

Beautiful authentic hotel, the location wasn't the best if you want to explore as its about 30min walk to the beach and 20 min walk into town. Old Town is about 50 min walk away. Staff were extremely friendly, and hotel was kept fairly clean. Beautiful nature around the hotel and a clean pool.
