Probably the best hotel/ rustic hospitality I ever had in my life. Gorgeous place, gorgeous little cottages, floor heating that made it all better. And sweet lady at front desk plus great service and great breakfast and fresh orange juice. We just did not want to leave.

What did you like? Casa Amoreira is a spacious, fully equipped townhouse with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and everything needed for self-catering. The house was spotless, and Bruno was very friendly, responsive, and even offered additional items if we needed anything. The layout worked very well for us, with a large main bedroom, a bathroom at the other end of the house next to the open-plan kitchen and living area, and a second bedroom with two single beds accessed by a wooden staircase (which we didn’t use). As a nice welcome touch, we found a complimentary bottle of local wine and a carafe of water waiting for us. The location is excellent, with both Bordeira Beach and the village of Carrapateira just a short distance away.

We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't...

We spent the day driving down from Lisbon and so didn't spend any time in the town of Carrapateira itself. But the next morning, we really enjoyed the various hiking trails and scenic overview spots accessible from Carrapateira via the perimeter road (E. da Praia), which starts with great views of and trails to Praia da Bordeira and then winds along the coast's edge for about 10 km. Great views and trails.

Nice little town, small grocery store that had better than expected selection and good prices. Municipal market that’s open every day. One vender who sells his local produce. Everything else can be bought in Vila do Bispo. Walking distance to the fantastic coast.

Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world.

Bordeira is one of the top beach in the world. We are coming to this region since 40 years and we have never enough . Sitio do forno is a simply spectacular position. Excellent basic Portuguese food

It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love...

It is a small village in the end of continent, we just love that this IS NOT hot touristic spot. Yes, you'll find find restaurants in and around, wide beach with small bar on it. But in the nigth there is only sound of wind and ocean, and that what we need on holidays!

Lovely area and locals are nice and helpful. Easy to get around and there are some reasonable basic services available such as guesthouses, restaurants. I didn’t see a gas station, ATM or grocery market so plan to stop elsewhere for those.

Very cute small village in the middle of paradise.

Very cute small village in the middle of paradise. Super spot for hikers and nature lovers. There is a minimarket and some restaurants open even in out of season times. When I am back to Algarve, I am definitely coming to Carrapateira again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Carrapateira. It is a beautiful small town with a wonderful atmosphere, and the beach nearby is absolutely amazing. The apartment was very clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also really appreciated the excellent communication with the owner, who was very friendly and helpful throughout. The only pity is that we could not stay longer. We would definitely highly recommend this place.

A peaceful place in the middle of nature with all the amenities. They are separate cottages equipped with a full kitchen, and the decoration is beautiful and pleasant. We also loved the pool area. Breakfast is very complete, and there are options available for dietary restrictions (gluten-free, plant-based drinks). You can go on excursions in the surroundings, and Carrapateira is only 10 minutes away by car.

Beautiful hotel with lots of attention to detail. Lovely helpful staff especially Tiago. Perfect if you would like a quiet retreat in a rural setting. There are some delightful little cafes & restaurants nearby ( short walk but with hill). The beaches a short drive away are stunning & great surf.

Ideal stop along the Fisherman's trail A few km away from several beaches (very big Bordeira beach, smaller beaches slightly to the south) Quiet place in the small town of Carrapateira. Restaurant(s) within 1-2 minutes by foot.
