I loved the location. There are hiking trails where you can do bird watching and go thru the wine yards. There are facilities for kayaking too, everything included (paddles, kayaks, and lifesavers). The stay includes a tour of the process and degustation of wine.

We had a wonderful stay at your location and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. Everything was spotless and is one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed in. Every room was immaculately maintained, the linens and towels were fresh and high-quality, and the kitchen and bathrooms were sparkling, clean and stocked with thoughtful essentials. The space itself was comfortable, beautifully decorated and exactly as described in the listing. It felt both calm and welcoming with attention to detail that made it easy to relax immediately. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had enough pillows for our comfort. The Wi-Fi worked well and the entire apartment was quiet and peaceful. We especially appreciated the hospitality, and communication check-in with clear instructions and the contact was responsive, friendly, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. The small touches throughout the day made it feel much more personal than a typical stay. The location was also fantastic, convenient for exploring while still feeling calm and authentic overall. The location was breathtaking. Nestled in the vineyards of Northern Portugal with the most friendly thoughtful and simply amazing staff and food . Would highly recommend and visit again soon. We came from Canada and absolutely loved it. Wine tasting was really interesting and we learned allot with Fabio he was so knowledgeable about the wines and very friendly and engaging with the guests. The spa was fantastic and treatments and facilities really relaxing. Food was incredible and delicious truly amazing experience hosted by Rui the hotel director. Could not have asked for a better vacation. Will visit soon for sure !!

Nice village. Three restaurants, one is Michelin listed. A small mini-market half way up the hill and I think that you can do wine/port tasting right in the village too. We had a fantastic view from where we stayed and based on the lay of the land, I suppose that that's the norm

We loved being in a small quiet village within easy driving...

We loved being in a small quiet village within easy driving distance to many places in the beautiful Douro valley. Only drawback might be the fact that there is only one restaurant, La Bamba, which is pretty basic. There is another one, but it is Michelin starred and booked months in advance. We drove 15 minutes or so to a recommended restaurant in Regua, but could not find parking, despite making many circuits of the area, and ended up driving back to Folgosa and La Bamba. Generally, we found parking in towns to be a challenge in Portugal, and this was October - summer is surely worse!

Folgosa is very small but at the bottom of the hill is a Michelin star restaurant! Great food, atmosphere and service. Otherwise there are only a couple of very small restaurants. It is a pleasant short drive to nearby towns/villages that have more dining options. There are so many vineyards nearby. The one right next to Folgosa - Quinta Dos Frades - provides an excellent tour of the property and tastings. At other vineyards one does not get driven around the entire property. Folgosa is a nice place to use as a base to explore the Douro Valley.

Stunning accommodation. This hotel felt exclusive without being pretentious. The staff were excellent and the rooms were beautifully designed. We stayed in one of the new suites (with a door on the bathroom) and it had everything we needed. The view from the room is simply unrivalled. We stayed with our 6 month old and the property provided a cot and couldn't have done more to help us with anything we needed. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
