We had hoped to experience the Swedish countryside as we drove from Stockholm to Goteborg. This was a perfect spot for us! After we arrived, we wandered around the grounds and went swimming, taking photos of the beautiful gardens and flowers. The next day, we enjoyed an amazing breakfast and tour of the castle. Beds were comfortable and rooms had beautiful views of gardens and fields.

The ‘tiny house’ was clean and cute. The hosts were super friendly and gave good recommendations on what to do locally. Nice to have a local modern village feel. A great place to stay if leaving from Arlanda or dropping off a rental car.

This was what we were looking for: Somewhere where we could drive to Uppsala and other places in Central Sweden. The holiday home itself is situated in a farm. It's an interesting place: This used to be one of the type of Swedish noble dwelling where the aristocrats live in the main house (now the landlady's farmhouse) without a kitchen, and are fed by servants living in the subordinate buildings (one of which now includes the holiday home) - there's a grand house like this in Skansen, the open air museum in Stockholm. There's even parts of a moat.
