Great place to stay in for visiting Slovakia!! Modern and cozy apartment with everything you need, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed and great shower. Nice view out of the window. The owner is very nice and helpful!! The location is perfect, short drive from the high tatras, Slovak paradise, Poland, and not very long to the low tatras either. 10 minutes from Poprad, and the town itself contains a lot of good restaurants so you can easily go to have dinner there.

We stayed 3 nights and went to Slovak Paradise - Sucha Bela We enjoyed a 5 hour walk while going over ladders , bridges. Next day we went to treetop walk in Bachledova and went down by walk - the view is perfect

Velka Lomnica is a village bellow High Tatras mountains...

Velka Lomnica is a village bellow High Tatras mountains ideal for stay when visiting the mountains. You can use your car to move around or you can use also local trains operating right to the touristic centers (Smokovec, Polianka, Tatranska Lomnica, Strbske Pleso and so on). In the village you have good options to buy food or to enjoy local gastronomy in restaurants. City of Poprad is just few minutes of driving or a short journey by train.

The village is app 5 minutes drive from the High Tatras. Pleasant, quiet and very affordable. There are some local restaurants for catering, with good choice of menu. We have preferred during our stay the restaurant Salas Goralsky Dvor.

It is a good starting point to discvoer to neighbourhood ( Tatranska Lomncia, Stary Smokovec, Strrbske Pleso). Vel'ka Lomnica is a small and quiet village, with few restaurants. The landsacpe is beautiful with mountains.

Very nice old style hotel, a bit communist era and chintzy , but room was very large, clean, with three windows and views of the Tatras. Bathroom very good.Hot water excellent. I don't think had air-conditioning, but did not need it. Location in small village but only a few kms from main places. Was there in summer, so don't know about suitability for winter use. Buffet breakfast had lots of choice. Nice garden and enclosed carpark with area for some relaxed outdoor sitting.

The hotel in reality is appartments, They have 4-5 buildings where provide an app. There is everything necessery but bad soundproofing and parking is weard. Half is occupated by locals half is mess up. So when the hotel is half booked, I think its unreal to find parking. breakfast not tried it was extra price. But tried dinner what was not worth it for 15eur. Food is very simple but prices are like normal restaurant.
