The staff were so helpful and lovely, especially for Peter helping me so much during my checkin and room allocation! I adored the room, seaview, the fabulous pool area and location right on the beach. The food and drinks were incredible, as well as the drop in classes. I adored every minute staying here!

We loved it! The space is amazing, private, beautiful space around the pool. After our morning surf seshes we always ended up coming back here to chill midday because it was just wonderful! Fresh cold coconuts on tap, they offered us homemade cold lemonade by the pool on the house, and overall were just so kind! AC, hammocks, clean pool, great space, very very clean rooms!

Very nice small surfing town. Great people. Nice food. One of those places you hotel it does not change much with time. El Zonte waves awesome place to rent a board. And right outside the el Zonte waves, a great place to have a cold coconut to electrolyte yourself.

El Zonte was a surprise on our adventures around El Salvador...

El Zonte was a surprise on our adventures around El Salvador. The town was a nice size for relaxing and getting to know locals and other visitors. The beach is great for morning and evening walks. Watching the surfers was highlight too. Many restaurants served great food with lots of variety. Getting ubers to visit other nearby towns and go on hikes was very east.

The town is pretty quiet except maybe on Saturday night and even then it's not crazy. A great place to spend some time to just relax and get some hammock time. Plenty of good restaurants to choose from.

El Zonte is great if you are a surfer or wanting a relaxed...

El Zonte is great if you are a surfer or wanting a relaxed beach vibe. It’s quiet and relaxing. However, outside of surfing or laying on the beach, there isn’t much else around or to do. There are some restaurants but the beach isn’t really an expansive area and there isn’t a boardwalk or anything like it. Tourism is still relatively new here , so not much local culture to experience outside of surfing, restaurants and maybe massages. There also aren’t any longe chains or umbrellas/shade like established tourist cities in other places have - most of what is available is whatever your hotel has. You can get a bus to other beaches/towns, and you could try Uber (but your results will likely be mixed as there aren’t enough people for Ubers to be in high supply). . You can also go on a short walk along the beach, but parts are rocky and impassable. I recommend using Google map street view to understand the surrounding area, as it’s not quite what I was expecting. I think it was good to visit, but I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Excellent place to chill, relax and enjoy the beach.

Excellent place to chill, relax and enjoy the beach. It's not a crazy party town, but you can still have drinks and enjoy yourself. Younger surfer crowd, but also very family & pet friendly. Locals and travelers are friendly and welcoming.
