It was easy to make changes. The staff always cordial and willing to help at any moment. Doesn't have curfew hours, just don't be obscenely loud, be cordial and you would find it quiet and relaxing place to have a beautiful day and nights.

FAQs about hotels in Antigua Guatemala

What Guests Said About Antigua Guatemala:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 10

Antigua has many options for travelers.

Antigua has many options for travelers. You can take a casual day and walk to the central park and explore the shops around the park including the chocolate making demonstration where you can join in the fun. It's a short walk to the local markets where you will find anything that you might have forgotten for your trip or a few souvenirs. There are opportunities to make Antigua a central hub for hiking the nearby volcanos on a day hike or for exploring other attractions like the macadamia nut farm not too far from Antigua. It is easy to make arrangements for day trips through any of the hotels or small local travel agencies on the street. And end your day with a massage at one of the very reasonably priced spa facilities. One of the best restaurants is Rinconcito where the prices are low and the food quality high.

Antigua, Guatemala is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. The city is full of colorful colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and incredible views of the surrounding volcanoes. Everywhere you walk, there is something to admire, from historic churches and ruins to charming cafés and local markets. One of my favorite things about Antigua was how easy it was to explore on foot. The city has a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, and a rich culture that makes every corner feel special. The food was excellent, and the coffee was some of the best I've ever had. What really makes Antigua stand out is the stunning natural scenery. Seeing the volcanoes in the background while walking through the city creates a unique experience that is hard to find anywhere else. Whether you're interested in history, culture, food, adventure, or simply relaxing, Antigua has something for everyone. I would highly recommend visiting Antigua, Guatemala. It is a destination that combines beauty, history, and adventure in a way that leaves a lasting impression.

It's alright, I didn't do the famous Acatenango hike (in part because it takes 2 days) kinda wish I had done it. Otherwise, managed to walk the entire town and experience it feeling like there wasn't much more to see. It's pretty, there's a couple of thing to see, but I wasn't blown away by it. If you want a nicer more comfortable town, better food, better service, and nightlife, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico is the way to go.

Great foodie town, including veggie/vegan options and very walkable and main attractions are easy and safe to walk to from the city center. We mostly walked, but we did use Uber which was affordable but there are also tuk tuks. Many travel to Antigua to hike the volcanos. The temperature in May was especially nice in the morning and late afternoon. So many coffee shops!!!

Antigua is a beautiful city - beautiful architecture, history, friendly people and good food. Much of the sites are within walking distance or you can grab a Tuktuk. There are great restaurants and bars making artisanal drinks and farm to table food. There is plenty to do if you're there for a few days. I have never felt unsafe in the city.
