Gabi and Jochen are amazing hosts. We had inspiring conversations and they cooked delicious meals for us. We enjoyed our stay and couldn’t get enough from the view and relaxed vibe. Definitely a place we will go back to.

Casa Real Boutique Hotel is a gem in the Monterrico area. Located in Aldea Candelaria, it is much more private and exclusive than the busier spots closer to the main town. The vibes were incredibly chill and the property is right on the beach, so you get that perfect mix of ocean breeze and quiet relaxation. The staff is famous for being super attentive. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The pool is so refreshing, with drinks/food severed to us poolside, and the pool area looks incredible when lit up at night. Both the food and service at the on-site restaurant were amazing. It felt like we had a private chef. We ordered the family size shrimp which was a massive 2 pounds of shrimp with all the sides, truly delicious. They also have room service, but we preferred to sit in the patio to view the ocean. The room was clean, comfortable, and most importantly, they have AC that actually works. Ernesto was very welcoming and always asked us if we needed anything else. Our Spanish is limited, yet he so proficient with Google Translate that we never had an issue. Uber is quite sparse, but Ernesto has local drivers that he can call for Transportation if you would like to go into town to walk around or to release the Sea Turtles. Personally, I would prefer to just stay at Casa Real and listen to the waves crashing.

Really good atmosphere and personal touch

Nice rooms but it's cold in this city, so dress appropriately. Really great staff and the dining experience is amazing. Great beds too!

Everything about the property was on point.

This hotel is truly remarkable. Its architecture not only dazzles the eye but also ingeniously combats Petén's high temperatures. The staff are exceptionally friendly, and the hotel's "no music" policy preserves its serene atmosphere, offering a perfect escape from city life. We especially adore the tranquil lake harbors for swimming and relaxation. The f ood they gave us was also great!

The hotel is oustanding. The facilities are pure luxury, but the biggest difference is the warmth of the staff.

Staying at Aviva wasn’t just a vacation—it was a sweet and soulful experience that brought joy to me and my family. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of our return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something special, serene, and deeply memorable.
