The lake view from the room is outstanding. The location is the best- In the middle of all the fun places. The staff is super friendly. Comfortable bed. Good shower.

The views were breathtaking and the staff exceeded my expectations in helpfulness, warmth and general hospitality. Manuel even took time out to teach me native languages. I had a perfect stay and will go again.

This property is super close to the boat port to other parts of the lake and has a beautiful rooftop terrace. The staff are super nice, the breakfast was great and it’s very clean

The family who run the place are so nice and kind and helps me with every request. The room was comfortable and with amazing view of the lake. The environment was very calm and I really enjoyed my stay.

Breakfast included is a great perk. Right up the block from the beach. Super affordable!

The location was great, however parking was very tricky. We did arrive late and it took a while to get help from the front desk but once we found someone they were super friendly and helpful. Views were amazing, and the breakfast included in the morning.. was absolutely delightful.

Quiet. Breakfast was great. Pancakes were thick and fluffy! Room was big and comfortable. San Juan is pretty quiet and this is a little outside of the main town so even more quiet 🙂

We LOVE this hotel! We weren’t sure what to expect as it’s a new hotel on Booking, but Casa Don Cristóbal did not disappoint!! Everything is brand new and so beautiful down to the last detail. The views from the rooms are no less than breathtaking. Waking up each morning with a direct view of the mountains and the lake was a dream and we loved being able to grab a fresh cup of coffee downstairs and enjoy it from either our balcony or while in bed enjoying our panoramic view. The true highlight though, was getting to know the owner, Nelson. He’s a San Juan local, who has also spent time living abroad and is just such a fun and welcoming guy to everyone! He has such a positive spirit and is always willing to help a fellow traveler in need any way he can. When our ride to Xela fell through last minute, he sat with us and helped us, until it was resolved. He saved us and other guests multiple times with his mental Rolodex of amazing recommendations while we were there and is truly just a genuinely good person. He even checked in with us to make sure we made it to our next destination safely. We can’t imagine staying anywhere else on Lake Atitlan when we return! Thank you Nelson and the amazing Don Cristóbal family!

Very peaceful setting and so very safe. The staff were so kind and helpful. The food - both breakfast and dinner was fantastic- freshly made and delicious.

This Eco Hotel in San Marcos is truly a gem! Surrounded by nature, every detail is thoughtfully designed to create a harmonious connection with the environment. They prioritize sustainability by using natural bathroom products to protect the sacred lake, just a minute's walk away. Starting my mornings with a swim in its tranquil waters made it the most serene place on earth. Supporting the local family who owns this property, honoring Mayan culture and the land, is a decision I highly recommend. The vegan cuisine served at the restaurant is not only delicious but also my favorite during my 2-week stay. I will miss this place dearly and look forward to returning next year. Ee couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The setting is absolutely beautiful — the kind of atmosphere that makes you slow down and take in the surroundings. The layout of the property feels timeless, blending perfectly with Antigua’s historic charm and relaxed vibe. The staff were outstanding: warm, responsive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their attention to detail really made the stay feel special. Breakfast was excellent every morning — fresh, flavorful, and a great way to start the day. Overall, this hotel captured everything we got to love about Antigua: beauty, history, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!
